My thoughts on Zaino products/ Very impressed

no don't need ZPC if using IP followed immediately by FPII, then sealant like Z2, Z5 and then CS last if you want that extra final sealant. Z6 or Z8 is really nice after a Z7 wash

you do need a final polish, i like menzerna FP (FPII) the difference is noticeable - then your fav sealant

I really don't think a final polish is necessary if you apply ZAIO by PC. I have FP2 and use it very infrequently.

I didnt think I needed a final polsh after the IP if it was followed by Z-PC or AIO and then Z2. Also is it okay to use Z2 on any paint surface, clear coated or not? And after my last coat of Z2, should I wash the entire car with Z7 again or go straight from the Z2 to Z-CS and finish it off with Z8?

BTW is it hard to get Zaino products in NJ?

Yep.

You still feel the same about Zaino now as you did when you started this thread?

Yes I do feel the same. I have also used a bunch of other stuff this year and I keep coming back to Zaino(no I will not mention any names as I hate thread wars, sorry). My customers really get hooked on the stuff too and in the end that is what really matters the most for me. Works great on my end and looks great on the customers end.

Thanks!

As an "original" Zaino user (going back more than 10 years) I have "strayed" from Zaino and tried many other products. There is no question that competitors have come out with some great products that provide very valid alternatives to Zaino.

That said, I bought my Lotus a couple of months ago. Guess what I have on it? Yep, back to the Z. Three coats of Z2 and it looks fantastic. Add my recent discovery of FK1's 425 as a QD, and I couldn't be happier with the way the car looks. Z2 simply looks fantastic on Silver Metallic! :xyxthumbs

take some swirl removing polish and rub in into the paint with a cotton cloth- if it turns your paints color then it isn't clearcoated.

Good tip, thanks. But is it bad to use Z2 on a non clear coated car? And would you say most modern luxury cars are clear coated?

Z2p is fine for non clear coated cars. Z3 is better only because it contains something extra that will prevent oxidation.

From the web site.

Z-3â„¢ Show Car Polish contains the same synthetic technology as our famous Z-2 formula. To meet the needs of standard paints, which tend to oxidize, shrink and lose their resiliency faster, Z-3 Show Car Polish also includes a custom blend of emulsifiers. These emulsifiers gently condition and maintain your car's paint, without a lot of rubbing.

I think Z-2 Pro is really the main sealant now as Z-3 is for older paint.
