My thoughts on Finish Kare FK1 Pink Wax.

Scott, you seem to be an expert on silver... I have AIO and UPP, but I am comtemplating VM too... what do you suggest?

Also, I have realized that I need a good prep and I am trying to decide between PB and Menzerna for polishes. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I don't know that I'd consider myself an expert, but I know what I like. AIO + UPP or VM + EX-P both look really good. VM + CMW also looks good but you sacrifice some of the sharp reflections for more depth.

I use mostly Meguiars 80 series polishes so I can't help you there.

Not Scott, but this is what I have found:

Menzerna is more rotary friendly, meaning you can use

a pc, but you get better results with rotary.

Poorboys is more pc friendly. Now I have tried using the

ssr's with rotary, but I find that they dry a little too quick

for my taste. When using the pc or any other d/a, they tend

to last longer. The great 1-2 punch is the ssr2.5 follwed by

ssr1.

Application:I used a Pakshak yellow foam applicator. I dampened the applicator using Adam's Detail Spray.

If the product is soft why would you need to dampen the applicator with a QD .. and by doing so are you not in essence altering the chemistry of the wax for the first bit of your application?

anyone use their other products? opinions?

If you're refering to the FK1, I've used a few of their items:

215- one step cleaner/ polish sealant

216- polymer wit glaze

218- polymer/ conditioner

2180- pure polymer

2685- pink wax

425- poly spray/ qd

Decon kit

I've used a few. The 108 vinyl/rubber dressing lasts a very long time(tires stay black). And it's apparently water based.

218/Pink Wax is still beading (Not really strong, mind you) and looking glossy after 4 months and counting-through winter, no booster qd's.
