Hi guys, i've been lurking on the forum for a good while now and thought it was about time I posted a few photos of my garage here in the UK.

Still a work in progress.

Not bad. I'm planning on painting my cinder garage this Spring. I also have exposed joists/roof and was not planning on painting it yet. Seeing this is promising because it doesn't look too bad .

Welcome! Nice clean garage! What Ford is that? Obviously something sweet that we don't get here.

I only wish that my current attached garage looked that clean...lol. Either this summer or next summer, my wife and I are putting up a new 3 car garage, have the plans set at 40x60 with a loft for storage. I wanted the extra room for detailing, and I eventually would like to put in a vehicle lift for general maintenance and no more bending to detail side panels. We have a little over 2 acres of land, so space is not a problem.

Nice and uncluttered, I like it. You put a coat of wax on the cabinet doors? Those have some serious shine to them.

I think that is an early 90s Ford Escort RS2000 or something like that. Nice garage, looks well organized.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

I'm afraid it doesn't look that uncluttered at the moment.

I'm in the process of stripping the car down to a shell in prearation for showing in concours this season.

I'll try and post some more up to date photos at the weekend.

By the way the car is a 1989 Ford Escort RS Turbo, Series 2.

Dave

Dave,

Take some progress pics of the Escort as you go and post it up in a project thread. That would be interesting!

Hi David,

i've got hundreds of pics of the car during the stripping. Where would be the best place to post them ?

Looks good man! Just goes to show you dont have to have a big elaborate garage to make a nice detailing area!
