My Show Winning Detail...Won First Place with this Corvette

This is a regular customer of mine, he's got 2 new Vettes and 2 new SUVs with a new Challenger on the way. (can't wait to detail that)

This Vette is an 05 DSOM (daytona sunset orange metallic) with heads/cam/headers and a few other mods to go along with a widebody z06 rear end, 19x12' chrome Z06 rims and little custom things here and there all installed and tuned by LG Motorsports.

He showed me the huge trophy he won at the last show he was at. He won first place in the Best of Show class. He wants me to get him some boards showing my services so that he can represent me at shows.

He likes me so much he actually let me take this particular Vette to a show once cause he was going to be out of town that weekend. He said only one rule, no burn outs. :woot:

Enough about me, here's the car.

Process, just a normal wash, clay, Zaino and interior cleaning. It's never much work as he doesn't drive it alot.

To date, it's got about 5 layers of Zaino on it.

This is my favorite shot. Notice the painted lower spoiler and rear fender flaps that are typically black, I think they look better painted.

WOW..the car looks fantastic. Its obvious that your attention to detail is what got him the win. It looks like you will be having more business in the future..

Congrats

Looks very nice. I love that color. What products did you use?

Sorry, I should have listed them....

Everything get applied with a MF except for tires and wells.

Interior (I know I don't have any pics of the inside)

Dusted with dust brushes

Vacuum

303 10:1 ratio wipe down

Lexol on leather

Rims get washed with car twice, once with the brush and once with the mitt, then I spray and wipe them with Dirtex.

Tires and Wells get Meg's Hyper Shine 3:1 ratio wiped on with a mitt

Exhaust get polished with BlueMagic for black grime and then Dirtex to shine up a little more.

Exterior

Z7 wash

Claybar with Meg's white clay

Zaino Z5

Z6 or Z8

All and all about 2-1/2 - 3 hours total.

What did you use on the chrome? (exhaust and wheels)

Tires and Wells get Meg's Hyper Shine 3:1 ration wiped on with a mitt.

Rims get washed twice, once with the brush (if dirty enough) and once with a mitt. Then I go back over them again spraying them with Dirtex and wiping dry with a MF.

Exhaust get polished with Blue Magic Metal Polish and then sprayed with Dirtex and dried with MF.

 OMG..... I am speachless. You did an amazing job on an already spectacular car. That is my favorite color next to nothing. Holy cow I am still ! Great job that car is soooo sexy! Is is still stock or are there any goodies under that gorgeous hood.

Thanks, I listed most of the ones I know about in the first posting.

Basically, Heads/Cam/LT Headers, full exhaust, and a few other little goodies.

He's putting out like 480RWHP

All mods done by LG Motorsports.:woot2:

Wow, that's a gorgeous color. Those rims are beautiful, too. Looks like his stable is pretty sweet, too.

Fantastic job, man, that car is a true stunner.

Awesome job man nice :)

Hey what part of Texas are you in? I'm about to move there.

I noticed no front plate... do they not require those in TX?

They require them here in California too but I don't have one. Have been lucky and haven't gotten a ticket for it yet.

Thanks, I'm in the Dallas area, but detail all of DFW and even quite a bit in Houston.

Yes, we're supposed to have front plates, but most of the nicer cars don't have them.

When I had my Vette, I got pulled over a few times for speeding and only once was it ever mentioned to me, so a lot of the LEO's are pretty cool about it most of the time.
