Decided to test out some of my favorite sealants. Hood was polished with duetto and rupes yellow pad/polish
Then wiped down with optimum paint prep and an arctic white towel.

Applicators are same ones I would or have used with each product.

Removed with the gold cobra mf towels, clean side for each wipeup.

each product applied per manufacturer recommendations
Wolfgang was removed after 50 mins sitting, exp 30 mins (i like to let it sit), blackfire cured afrer about 5 mins.

I will let them cure for 24 hours in my garage and then do a beading test.

*might as well make this a bit of a contest between the products

Parameters: touch (initial&post 24hr), ease of use, shine, beads, sheets, durability
(a scale of 1-4 pts for each category)

To the touch so far (post application but not all cured yet) id say touch slickness goes to
Wdafpp
Then close 2nd wolfgang
Third is the buttery EXP
Optiseal still slick but not near as much as bf or wg

Ease of use is pretty obvious but application method aside, curing time and time before removal are real problems one encounters so that is how I have weighted these

Optiseal wins of course (dries immediately- i've even used it in the sun for years with no issues)
Then EXP (super easy to use in garage or sun- you can let it sit longer before removal but about 5-10 mins is all you need (you can remove directly after application if in direct sunlight if you want)
BF WDAFPP third and
last is WG Deep Gloss simply because of the 30-45 minutes recommendation before removal

Shine: tbd
Beads: tbd
Sheets: tbd
Longevity: tbd

wash duty will be weekly rw with wolf's mean green.

beading pic to come after curing

-----Update 1:
Beads made (12/27/15) using kwazar sprayer and distilled h20. Five full sprays each section for research purposes of course but it ended up not 100% equally distributed of course.

Please feel free to say your thoughts 1-4 on best beads. 1 being best.

then it rained. Hard to tell much of a difference there.

Is there any noticeable difference in terms of gloss? I'm rooting for WDGPS as I have that one lol

I couldn't tell from the crappy garage lighting I have but they're still curing and its sprinkling today so I will pull it out tomorrow during the day and see

slickness on removal was quite obviously Blackfire (its ridiculously slick on removal) but Wolfgang was close second

Cant wait for results, I love black fire WDAFPP and am interested in all things Wolfgang. But Opti Seal has me hoping, I am in love with all things spray and wipe simple I just love easy one trip around the car and safe for all surfaces type LSP's.

Optiseal is my wildcard but i bet it goes first
My money is on Wolfgang
I imagine this would last longest. I have seen good longevity with exp though.

There was an older post on AG I stumbled on a while ago, and they did a pretty large scale test on a RV with multiple sealants. It was for 4 months and WGDPS was one of the survivors.

Interesting to see end results.

Just to stir the pot a little:
How do you really know when it is no longer protecting the paint?

Good question. I will judge it by when the beads don't look similar to after application. Granted it might be hard to determine because i know clean unprotected paint can bead as well but we'll have to wing it

Second post updated with beads
Let's rank them!

Me personally
1. Wolfgang (stand out #1 to my eyes)
2. Exp
3. Optiseal (pleasant surprise)
4. Blackfire (they just seem the least impressive of the 4 to me)
