NXT most certainly DOES stain trim. It stained mine and the bottle says to avoid trim. Thats one of the reasons I'm not using it anymore is because it stained mine.

I've used NXT on 6 different vehicles so far and have not had one on which the trim was stained. Thus the reason for my comment.

Nope - my red Laguna was on Shining Stars ages ago (back when all I had was a bottle of Gold Class, some Scratch X and 2 MF's - seems like a long long time ago). Saw yours on the Megs site I think.

Interesting cleaner for your dash - hadn't thought of that one (I'm converted to Einszett Cockpit Premium but it's a tad expensive and N/A here in good old Blighty)

Yep, you guys just don't know how lucky you are having big garages....my next house top priority is land enough for a 2 or 3 car garage...of US proportions...not UK proportions....dream on !!

@Andyc....yep, that's where you saw my car. As for dash cleaning...I've been using that method for oooh, let's see, 8 or 9 years....just mild fairy MF cloth and paper kitchen towel (for use on the interior side of the windows with same fairy solution). Leaves absolutely no shininess....dash is as matt as new (I hate shiny dashboards).

I have been using Pampers on the leather for 4 years or so now. Pampers already have conditioners built in - as they are used for...well, baby's bottoms...good enough for live leather...good enough for dead leather too IMO ;)

Before this Volvo I had a Freelander XEi....after three years and 70k, the leather (in fact the whole) car looked as good as it did when it came out of the showroom...seriously.

Yet again learned something new at autopia!

I guess I'm a bit lucky with my garage as there's a good 3' of workspace each side plus an easy 8' at the back plus eaves storage. OK, so the 205's only a little 'un but it's still a good size (and my neighbour gets his Cherokee in his with room to spare...just).

Once the garden's finished the garage is next - already painted the walls & floor - next plan is 2 more coats of floor paint, ceiling in ply or chipboard painted white and electrics in there too.

Not quite to the standard of some of the US guys here but it'll do for me.
