In the past week, a few things have happened that don't make a lot of sense to me, but that happens to me a lot with computers.
1. The sometimes slow and erratic behaviour seems to have started aout the time I upgraded my Fire Fox to version 3.0.
2. It seems to be happening when I have my Yahoo homepage activated.
3. If I use IE, I don't have the problem, even when using the Yahoo homepage.
Checking system resources with Windows Task Manger came up with a couple of other things that seemed out of the ordinary.
1. Fire Fox uses a lot more memory. It varies, but is in the 92,000 K to 130,000 K range. It usually runs around 97,000 to 100,000 K.
2. Internet Exporer varies from 52,000 K to 70,000 K and usually runs around 58,000 K to 60,000 K.
I did like Fire Fox, but IE seems to do everything I want/need and with a heck of a lot less memory use and no Yahoo home page complications.
I'm totally lost as to what to do tp correct the Fire Fox slowdown other than use IE.
Has anyone else experienced any similar problems/conditions?
