a couple people have ask how I do my carpets, so now that I have a bit of time I will go through my process using the cargo area of a 2001 Volvo V70.
I am friends with a chemist that has formulated all of my cleaning products, we are working on completing the line(to include polishes and sealents etc.) so that we can get some samples out, still working on a name but it is produced by Landrum Chemical.
I have a rigid 6.5pro vac
Troy-built PW 2750
a tenant 1110 extractor
a bucket o' brushes
BEFORES
Since it has a cargo mat, this would be the same process as the cabin of a vehicle
1. remove the mat(s) and vacuum
2. use carpet brush on mat to open fibers
3. dampened mat with water using garden hose
4. spot treatment on stains
5. spray with a mix of 2 parts carpet shampoo 1 part APC
6. let dwell for 5 minutes
7. brush until foam has appeared and stains have started to fade
8. rinse with pressure washer
9. extrated mats by working lines in oppisite directions, edge to edge
10. Hang to dry with Heavy Duty spring clamps
Carpets are fairly similar
1. vacuum
2. brush
3. spot treatment on stains
4. spray entire carpet with carpet shampoo
5 let dwell for 5 minutes
6. brush until stains are gone
7. use terry clothe towel for nooks and crannies
8. Extract carpets using 100% water as spray sollution
9. wipe carpets with MF towel in one direction to remove extractor or vacuum trails
10. use 2-3 inch vacuum head or brush to add lines working in opposite directions
If you do not have an extractor use a vac in place of, will create similar results on medium to mild wore carpets.
hope this answers any questions
