Ironic that I received an email notifying me of my chosen picture, right as I was researching digital cameras! I'm still planning to buy a new one, probably this weekend.
BTW, this picture was taken with a 2.1MP, HP Photosmart 635.

That would be a great picture for the "Hand of Man" category in my photo club.
btw I'm not sure if it was you, or one of the another "regular" in the Autopia chat room who was looking at Canon PowerShot S2 ISs a couple months ago, but you might want to consider it now seeing how its gone down in price, and will only go lower since Canon just released the PowerShot S3 IS.

That was Neothin, but I have looked at the S2 IS too. My brother has one. Went down in price huh...hmm. The reason I was going with the A520 is because I rarely use full zoom, even with my current 3X optical. I guess I have a hard time justifying the added cost to get a camera with more optical zoom, because I would rarely use it.
It's just like buying the Protege. Sometimes you could use more power, but the majority of the time you have capability but aren't using it. I'm happy with my decision to buy this car.
