My sister in-law is German but it appears that my brother's Sicilian genes have prevailed in my niece!!

Here she is at 10 months old after housing her first bowl of spaghetti...

I think that with some Meg's APC and Klasse AIO I can have that high-chair looking as good as new. ;)

Very funny :p She's adorable.

Do you guys get good Italian down there? I'm sure it's nothing like back home, huh?!

When I went to school in Indiana, the garbage they'd pass off for Italian food let alone pizza was a disgrace.

Reminded me of the famous line at the end of Goodfellas when Henry Hill, now in the witness protection program somewhere in Pimpleville Midwest, says, "...After I got here I ordered some spaghetti with marinara sauce and I got egg noodles and ketchup..."

:rofl

Spilchy it took me almost 6 years to find a good Italian food restaurant down here. Turns out it is only about 5 minutes from my house and is called La Strada. From the outside it doesn't look like all that much (just like all the good Italian joints up north) but as soon as you open the door you get a huge wiff of goodness!! It smelled like my Grandmother's house in Brooklyn...I knew I was home! It's always packed on the weekends with at least 30 minute wait to get a table.

What tided me over until I found La Strada was southern BBQ...good ole pulled pork. Man...if you haven't tried this stuff you are missing out!
