My parents are in town for the week, and Mom's Mini-Van has never looked better:) I think it's been SEVERAL months since it has been touched (i.e. -the last time they visited us).

Tonight's goal was to clean the beast. The wash process (exterior/interior) took over 2 hours this evening.

Process Used (so far)
Wash: SS&S
Wheels: Meg's Wheel Brightener x 2 (cut 50/50)
Wells: Poorboys APC full strength
Poorboys Clay
Bug Scrubber on the bumper/mirrors/windows
Interior Vac
Poorboys S&G on the windows
Poorboys APC 10:1 on the interior (leather, dash, jams, carpet wipe)

Over the next few evening's I plan to steam clean the engine bay and carpet then polish, seal, etc..... I'll post some shots as it comes back to life (or not)

Here are a few before shots:

It got dark and I started to polish. This is SSR2.5/SSR1 x 1 on the metabo via a finishing pad @ 1200RPM (started gentle) The drivers side only was done this evening. Excuse the dust/splatter in the seams :) The rims were done with Pro Polish x 1 by hand and it melted away the tar build up.

Nice work on the wheel wells!! Now I know why I do them last. It is easier to forget them. Love the look of clean wheel wells and wheels. Hate the work though.

Keep the pictures coming!!

I want one of those PB's secret weapons :(. Looking good thus far,......cant wait to see it when its done.

Wow! Wheel Brightener cut 1:1 that's REALLY strong stuff. I never cut it less than 3:1 and that seems to melt anything off.

Wow! The new Poorboy's bucket. You lucky devil!!!

Your parents are also very lucky to have you. This is going to be the shiniest minivan on the block when you're done.

Mikeyc - I agree Meg's Wheel cleaner at the cut, is VERY POTENT stuff. I don't use it at all on my personal vehicles because it think it's a bit too strong at 10:1. For neglected wheels, you can't beat it.

Sean. - They put up a mild protest. It's all show :)

01WJLimited - After cleaning them out with APC, I sprayed them down with Gunk Foaming Wheel Cleaner, and Gunk Foamy Engine Brightener.

I finished polishing out the passenger side this afternoon. SSR2.5/SSR1 via the Metabo & finishing pad.

It was topped with EX x 1, UPP x 1, and wiped down with 4* UGE.

Saturday's line up = The roof & engine and then I'm done.

Interior: (still not happy, but I'm done with the carpet)

Off to T-ball :)

Thanks guys!

I made a typo.

I actually used EX-P & UPP, not EX. I don't think EX would be a good choice as a base for UPP since it has carnuba in it :)

That looks really nice, has a nice wet look. How did your mom like it? I like her van, I always liked the front end on the last few years of the Silhouette's. Love that 2 tone seating as well. Tell her to keep it clean this time!

From Grungemobile to Oldsmobile in ten easy steps!
Great work, I know they will be proud of it.
