Just put up my site. I want to know what you guys think about the design. I havent gotten the wording down well or the actual "neatness" of the site. Do you guys have any better wording for the homepage? Please tell me if you have any critiques!

,Daniel

P.S. i was surprised no one had the domain name!

www.highenddetailing.com

You misspelled mild when it says using heavy or mold polishes under full detail

I'll be honest, it doesnt look to professional, it looks like a 12 year olds blog that they made. I think you should experiement and try to make it more appealing to the eye

On the index page I'd include more information about who or what high end detailing is. rather then Daniel has amazing skills. Just gives the reader more to look forward to if he chooses you.

Might want to correct this spelling error.

lol! Yea, it needs a lot of work! Ile be the 1st to admit that. I was just telling my cousin the whole site needs to be re made basically.

And the "daniel has amazing skills" was literally all i could think of at 1am last night after doing a full correction on a lexus RX350.

IMHO... it doesnt look good AT ALL!

Fun stuff lol, i put virginia where you are, i might need more specific. IF you dont like it its fine, i had a good time designing it :nana:

To be honest I dont really like that. Its too dark and no better than the current. Look for a webhost that has no ads too. My site has ads because I make money off of them. The only reason.

I can design a custom site for you if you want but its going to be around 200+ depending on what you want me to do. If you want me to add all of the content to it and make all of the pages it will be around 250$. Otherwise for 200$ you will get custom webdesign to your liking, and the website coded with minimal text added to show you where it goes.

Yah, he would obviously take the ads off when he got it, its if hes willing to pay $200 for his site.

I would put your processes in order of price from least to most expensive. Put the mini detail second.

That's all I would suggest, obviously you need some pics, before and after along with full shots of the cars you work on.

on your homepage it says you started when you were 8 years old. then it goes on to say that "almost 6 years later..." are you really 14 or is that just another type-o?

Sorry, I dont want to sound harsh, so don't take this in offense.

I don't like the colors (it seems like a template web hosting site, and makes the cars look dull)

You have a lot of typos

The main page talks about daniel, but it says 'our work'

A lot of things are inconsistent

Do something with all that extra space on the services page

Get rid of the stupid banner on top

Get a real email, the .mac is very unprofessional

and again, there are so many typos. type up your text in MS Word or something, and then put it in the site.

Although I said a lot of problems, it should not take you that long to fix.

hope that helps :)

It's a good start. Be prepared to spent lots of time editing code and changing things. Soon enough you'll do a complete overhaul taking into account everyone's suggestions. Your website has to be perfect because for many potential customers, it may be the first reflection of you so you have to make sure you carry your attention to detail characteristics over to how you do the website. It's like 4am here for me and I'm finishing up an essay so I didn't get time to go through it thoroughly, but I did notice on your Contact page, you did not capitalize the 'i'.

Best of luck!

Color scheme, layout and those ads make it seem like one of those default portal sites. You know, those pages you get when someone parks a domain name. But it's better than some sites out there that I've seen. You know, the ones with harshly contrasting colors and overuse of centering. Not to mention those 3D graphics. A lot of people think they're cool, but it just makes pages appear my amateur like.

Sorry, I'm a bit critical. But only because I web design for living.

JC Detail

Your site cost $20?

I am assuming that you did the site yourself, in which case it cost you your time. I am sure you bill your time out at more than $10 an hour and I am sure you spent more than 2 hours on your site. 'Free' does not necessarily mean that it doesn't cost you anything.

The problem with most $200 sites is that they look like they cost $200. To some it won't matter, to others it definitely will. People that have high standards (i.e. those with the types of vehicles you would like to be detailing) are a little more discerning than your average Camry driver, so keep that in mind. If your target is to be detailing exotics and luxury vehicles, then your site should reflect that.

As someone else mentioned, this may be your first chance to impress potential clients, so don't give them a reason to have doubts about your professionalism. Your site should be at least as good as Paul Dalton's, don't you think? :2thumbs:

My last bit of advice would be to drop anything related to your age. People may question you about it, but if you handle yourself in a professional manner and speak knowledgeably, then you'll at least have a chance to win their confidence and a possible booking. But if they see your site and figure out that you're 14, your phone won't be ringing.
