My new process for my car

Hello all


I have a new plan of attack on my car here it is.. i would appreciate some tips and some constructive critism.

Car: 99 chevy cavalier RED

NXt wash
Sonus or Wolfgang Clay ( suggestions?)
Nxt wash
Sonus paintwork Cleanser ( necessary if i follow with aio? )
Klasse AIO
Klasse SG ( several coats )
P21S Carnuba or NXT (Suggestions?)

I will be getting a PC soon hopefully to apply these lovely products

Looks like you could use a swirl remover product in the mix(unless the Sonus paintwork cleanser will remove swirls). Maybe you could replace one of the other polishes you are going to use with a swirl remover. Also, you might wanna try the "clay-as-you-wash" method. It might cut out that extra wash step you have there. Just my suggestions. I am sure you'll get it down-pat after reading and getting suggestions.

i am new at detailing.. and how long do u guys keep ur clay?

do u you guys use new clay everytime you get a new customer?

I only use my clay on personal vehicles (I am not a pro detailer). I usually cut it into fourths and it will last a long time. I usually replace it when it looks dirty. I suppose it would depend on the condition of the car. By cutting up the bar, you save yourself if you drop the clay. If dropped, chunk it and use a fresh piece. This will help one bar last you a little longer. I have only used the Mother's, Meg's, and ClayMagic clay bars, so I don't know about the one you mentioned specifically.

you may want to:

-wash & rinse and leave it wet
-clay the car with lube spray and wipe dry as you go
-Sonus paintwork Cleanser (not sure but i think this will remove clay lubricant or any residue on the suface)
-aio (will clean and protect)
-sg (will protect and add gloss) i waited a few days between coats
-p21s (i have used S100 over 3 coats sg. very nice and my car is white.)

ps. if your car is a few years old, you may want to add a polish or swirl mark remover in place of sonus paintwork cleanser. or maybe you could use this cleanser after polishing, not exactly sure how the cleanser works. AIO also has nice cleaning ability.
