Lots of toys added to this C2S!

With the Ceramic Brakes in yellow, the seat belts in yellow will look nice! :up

Dealer wants many pictures when it comes in as they do not get a Spec car like this often. The only thing mising was the Power Kit. But at $16K just to go up from 355hp to 381hp was just out of the question. Way too much for little improvement!

I see my old Lexus SC430 is on Autobytel! Dealer wasted no time!

Man I just can't wait for spring to arrive and this new Porsche!

This is going to be one sick car!

Of course picture will be posted once it gets to the dealer.

I call dibs on the first ride after the engine is broken in! :LOLOL

The Carrera S is a beautiful full on performance car. I'm supposed to detail a metallic black '06 but it has been hard to coordinate it with the owner because of the weird weather and holidays-holding out hope for this Sunday though. ;)

I'm hoping it's Atlas Grey Metallic! :D

You just bought yourself my dream (well, attainable dream) car! The 997 is just so awesome, from its looks to its handling and power...and nothing makes me sweat more than a Porsche badge on the hood! :D:D

Geez, those ceramic brakes take the already-fantastic porsche brakes to a new level!

Have a ton of fun with that! Please, please, post lots of pics!!:bigups

Don't forget the sport shifter, sport exhaust, crono package, AERO KIT TOO!

WOW!! You have that car loaded. You will love the "640 Sport Chrono Package Plus" I drove 2, one with it and the other with out and the difference was huge. The short shifter is nice. I personally have never heard the sport exhaust but my friend told me that it sounds sweet. You have that car loaded just the way I would. Please post pics of it when you get it.

Whay color did you get? (Int, Ext)

Dealer wants to get pics of it for one of the Porsche mags as this is one sick car!

The sport exhaust sound really nice! Got to hear one on another Carrera S! If you hit the SPort button, it uncorks it at higher revs and man it sound even better! I was sitting in it, revving the motor and I had such a smile on my face!

Exterior is black, Interior is black full leather with yellow seatbelts to match the PCCB's yellow calipers (Porsche Comp Ceramic Brakes).

Oh yea, I hear all about the Sport button when driving it... PASM lowers the car 10mm or so and stiffens the shock valving and engine management is more responsive to throddle.

Of course Armorglove will be installed. As well as a K40 radar/laser detector and Sirus.

They are trailering it to my condo after I go through the "delivery" at the dealer as we want to make sure I an clear some speed bumps in our condo with the Aero Kit.

Now, what to use as a sealant?? Maybe FMJ, Maybe Zaino, Maybe EX-P who knows... Good color for Souveran as wel!

The dealer is also contacting Porsche factory to see if they can get pics of it being built, then when it comes into port, more pics from the people there they know. Interesting fact: Porsche puts in a chip to limit speed prior to arrival to dealer. Chip only allows up to 20MPH no more! New measure to combat theft or hot-rodding when in port.

Is the K40 the one with several detectors mounted around the vehicle? And it costs ~$1000 or something? If so, I've heard plenty of times that the Passport or the V1 will outperform the K40, and for a much lower cost.

That's a good idea by Porsche. I'd feel better knowing that nobody could be tempted to beat the p*ss out of my brand new Porsche.

Maybe someday I'll have one to call my own. Until then, you have my jealousy.

As far as I know, the K40 detector system is one of the best for detection and stealth type lack of detection. Yes, it detects from all sides and has an optional laser "diffuser" or something like that.

I'm sure there are many reviews on detectors etc, but at least they pay any ticket given out if the car as it.

Still not sure which LSP to do. Yet to try FMJ.

You guys really need to read issue 5 of Winding Road! They voted best cars out, and the Carrera S came 2nd to a Ferrari F430. Not bad company! Close performance in some ways, but better yet, less maintenance. First scheduled maintenance for the Carrera S is 20K miles! Plugs 40K miles! Try that with a Ferrari!!

First CD in the car... Sammy Hagar "I can't drive.... 55!" So true!

I did get a chance to listen to the Bose system, not bad. The Mark Levenson in the Lexus SC430 was superb in audio! Bose is very close, they just add more processing and have the ability to simulate 5.1 type surround.

The dealer is closely watching the production dates, and when they start testing it and sending it via boat. Once in port, he has good ties to notify me so I can go and view it.

After sitting in another "S" and listening to the Sport Exhaust flipping the Sport button to uncork the thing, the sweet sound of the engine was just unreal!

Interesting, no dipstick! All electronic!

Blip the throddle in Sport mode and it responds much quicker. It's just insane!

All my life I've been reaching for this dream. And now, I am so very close!

For those of you close to my area, I'm thinking of a big party when it arrives! I'll keep you informed! It should be a blast!

Funny, I've yet to drive the damn thing at the dealer before I ordered it! I know what I wanted, and just worked from that.

Honestly, those that cannot get a Carrera S due to cost, more and more reviews of the Cayman S and how well it performs is just stunning! With mods, this thing could beat the pants off most Carrera's due to it's mid-engine weight balance and handling. You could get the PCCB's with this thing too! Most dealer have them in the showroom, but cannot drive them until past January. They are still on loan from PCA. These are going to be one hot car for Porsche! I highly recommend one!

Thanks all for sending your comments and good wishes. It means alot to me.

Now if only April was here :D

Scott has first ride too! Hell, if you got here drive it yourself!

Deanski

Hey if you want a k40 I have one for sale.. Its the calibre its bluetooth so there are no wires just to power it. I got it for my dad for christmas with my mom. However he said he doesnt want one of these things!!! Dont know why.. anyways PM me if you want it. It has never been installed and its ready to go.

Your car is going to be one sick puppy!!!! :D

Sweet, black is going to be nice.

I LOVE the Cayman (at least the way it looks), but the problem with the Cayman is that it's right at the Z06 price point. I realize they are different cars, but the Z06 is dollar for dollar the best sports car out there, and it's tough to ignore.

I get excited for ya just reading your posts. The wait has got to be killin' ya. I can't imagine what it would be like knowing such a magnificent, time honored car was being built just how I wanted it, in another country, and being delivered to my doorstep.

The 997 is amazing and if I had the money, I would certainly choose one over just about anything else for the money (although the AMG 'Benz's sure are tempting).
