My New Foamer Gun

FMS

New member
I'm new to the forums so I'm not sure if anybody has bought one of these guns and shared any picture results. I have a couple of black cars tomorrow that will be the first test of my new toy. Hope it cuts down the washing time by a minute or two at my office buildings but I will find out soon enough.

yea there are several threads about them

F.Y.I. around here a "Foam gun" connects to a regular garden hose

and a "Foam Canon" connects to a pressure washer

"Foam Canon" is for sure the better name once I saw it in action. Bought it from a company in Sarasota Fl. I had to buy the gun($26) and some quick connects($5) too. So all in all it cost $130. PM me if you want the company name but shouldn't be to hard to find one in your local area. I will still post the pics tomorrow.

:werd: they both have there places, the thing about the foam cannon/lance is you can't it use while you're washing...

Heres a couple of pics of a BMW 760 and a GL. Sorry for the large pics. First timer.

Pics were just to show the Foam Canon in action. These cars are just ones that get washed every week and detailed every 3 months. There is a Porsche Turbo inside the garage as well. Great clients to have on a regular basis.

I may have to get a foam canon to co-exist with my foam gun. No way I can get that type of look from a foam gun. Thanks for the pictures.

Lots of foam, but does it do any good? I haven't found any benefit of foaming a car, warm water with good pressure helps more IME.

it is a very good pre-soak

when my car is caked in salt I would much rather foam, rinse then wash it

then blast the salt against the paint with pressure

Works well if you have a few carwashes to do at one location. Still working on the dilution rate to adjust how thick the foam gets. The thicker the better I think to create as much buffer between the brush and surface on the car. Just my opinion though as everybody has different assumptions and ideas on what works best for them. If I were just washing my personal cars I dont think it would be worth the cost unless you have the need for a pre-soak before you wash.
