I usually stay with the same products but this time I switched up.I decided to go with PP 2.5 and then top it with Collinite#845 I never seen this combo before but IT WORKS on a dark car real well.Just thought I would let you know it you needed a new combo. Not to mention its lets you get ready for the winter.

Someone beat me to it! lol....I'm about to switch the daily car over to it's winter products, and the first things to try this autumn was SSR 2.5 or SSR 2, followed by Marque D'Elegance...... Looking forward to seeing the results! :).

I'm surprised at your success going straight from 2.5 to a LSP, although I haven't tried 2.5 yet.

I thought you'd have to put an intermediate step between 2.5 and #845, e.g. SSR1, PwC, or VM for best results:nixweiss

It's fall and that means start putting on the winter wax for you crazy people that live in a 4 season climate.Collinite MDE or #845 or #476 or Megs #16 in my my opinion one of them is a must to protect your cars from winter salt and road grime. No I did use anything between 2.5 and collinite and it came out beautiful

#476 going four months strong on my white Honda parked outside 24x7. The hood is starting to lose it's beading, but the rest, especially the sides are holding strong. I'll do a light polish and two coats at the begining of November for the winter.

I like the #845 too. I recently used it over VM on a black Audi after a polish with #80. Very nice combo to achieve a desirable look with stellar durability.

NHBFAN,

On the daily I've used 2.5 and gone straight to an LSP with no probs at all (a mid metallic greeny-blue).

You are absolutely right though with regards my GT-R (midnight purple), sometimes the paint looks ready for waxing but, most of the time it needs an intermediate coat of VMW just to bring it up perfectly before applying the wax.

Cheers.

I've been going from #80 to lsp, still haven't tried SSR 2.5 though. Good to know it breaks down sufficiently to use in a 2 step process.

I've been doing a lot of #80 or PwC/#16 two steps lately in preparation for another >insert filthy word< El Nino winter. :( That would make this year the 5th wet winter in a row.
