Hi y'all. I used to work in a detail shop for a dealership when i was in highschool, about 20 years ago. I used to do the car show scene and always did everything by hand on my showcar, but came on here to learn more about an art that i havent touched in 2 decades. I am hoping y'all can point me in the right direction. I am in the Army and yeah thats about it.

With modern paints, you are extremely limited in what you can achieve by hand.

In the last 20 years we have seen a huge increase in the number of people machine polishing their paint to perfection, particularly due to advances in random orbital (safe) polishers and new polish technology.
