Thank you! Actually i'm playing around with a couple different kits. I'm using a kit from Detail King along with a meguiars hlr drill attachment pad. Hand sanding, from 600 stepping to 2000gt. polishing out with drill and applying a shine restorer/protectant. This is really new to me so right now it's pretty much trial and error. Tips are always appreciated!
I usually use 2000 grit, plasticx on wool, follow with Menz106FF, and put on a coat of CG sealant. Has been working good for me so far. But I'm open to other ideas too. I've tried the drill wool pad too, but it's too slow for my taste. So I just use the makita.
I'm going to try a wool pad with a rotary, i wanted to be able to do it with a cordless drill so i could go anywhere. the drill i have right now doesn't have hight enough rpm for my satisfaction. or battery power. I'm ordering a new one soon which wil be much better than the wal-mart special i got. Lesson learned.
