My first detail with Random Orbital!!!...

Okay, so I have this friend who is building a Shelby Cobra kit car and the paint shop who painted did a decent job, but HACKED IT UP when they washed it, and looks like they may have buffed it too!

Anyway, I went over today to do a quick wash on it, and pulled out my r.o. and decided to give it a try.

Process:

-Washed with Z7 w/ foam gun

-Dry using waffle weaves

-No claybarring (paints new, car never been driven yet)

-buffed using white pad and ZPC

No wax applied yet, owner had to leave town by then, so it went under car cover and I'm going back to apply a few coats of Z2 on Tuesday!

I think it came out pretty good!

**sorry about lighting, it was getting late, I'll get some more direct sunlight pics up later.

BTW- since this was my first detail, they paid me with chocolate chip cookies! :heelclick

Looks awesome, love the Shelby Cobra.

Even if it's a kit car that thing is BAD A$$...

Paint looks super wet, great job.

Thanks a lot. I was EXTREMELY happy with the outcome. Can't wait to get some wax on there and finish it off with some Z8!!! Should REALLY pop then!

Your payment was interesting but sounds yummy. ;)

For your first detail I would say awesome job. Paint just flows. My favor car of all . Too bad about the wheels . Congrats on a superb detail .

Very nice!!! Wait until you step up to a rotary?!?!?

Okay, here's a question I have been wanting to ask. What exactly does the rotary do that the random orbital doesn't. Im scared to use one because I fear I'll really mess up the paint.
