Wow, amazing car, i also was scheptical at the new TL, but now, i'm in love ... kinda like that RX-8 commercial where the guy is hugging his car ... yeah ... like that.

can you tell us (well, me) what DACP was like by hand? you obviously got amazing results on your car! i was considering DACP by hand but wasn't really aware of anyone except Scottwax using their hand (but he's the exception ... everything he touches is amazing ... lol). Did it break down well enough? or was it hard to remove?

Hmm.. well, doing DACP by hand wasn't *that* bad. I thought it was a pain (especially when I compare it to applying/removing WG) but then, I expected that. I took my time making sure to work it in good.

In the near future though, I'll be getting a PC since I know that will do a better job for more difficult projects. I was lucky in that I only had minor swirling and the silver hid it well (you could only see it at certain angles) so DACP by hand was good enough for this job. Even then, I did DACP twice all over since I still saw some small swirls after the first application.

DACP breaks down well enough as long as you don't use too much. Still, after the 2nd application (I did both on the same day), my hands were a bit sore.

Really, I don't know how scottwax does it. My Day 1: Dawn wash, DACPx2, Z-12 windows, wash to remove Z-12 residue and accumulated dust, WG polishx1, WG sealantx1. That nearly killed me.

Day 2: WG sealantx1, Z-16 tires.

Nice job :up . I really like your Acura. I am considering a 3 series BMW but I also think that I should test drive the Acura as well.

Looks great. Just curious do you buy any of your supplies locally? And if so where?

Unfortunately, most of the stuff I use I can't find locally.

Stuff I got locally:

Viking MF towels (only because I wanted to try them)

foam applicators (same ones as in the autopia shop... blue with sponge grip)

terrycloth/sponge applicators (for tires and Z-16)

Dawn dishwashing liquid

Stuff from online:

MF towels (waffle weave, buffing, glass)

QEW

Wolfgang polish/sealant

DACP

Zaino Z-12 (glass polish)/Z-16 (tire gloss)

Zaino Z-9/Z-10 Leather care stuff (like the smell)

Zaino Z-6 QD

Klasse AIO/SG (haven't tried yet)

EX-P (haven't tried yet)

1Z (haven't needed it yet)

Definitely. I considered the 330xi. It was the closest in terms of features.

TL was *much* cheaper, equal in interior (better layout, ergonomics but leather not as good as in 330), more gadgets, much stronger engine, better looks (at leat for me.)

330 better handling/driving characteristics (although not by much), better leather, better show-off quotient.

I don't push the car too much so handling/driving edge isn't too important to me. I like TL's leather so 330 leather not a big deal to me. Don't care about the BMW show off factor.

Good luck with test drive! V-TEC loves high revs. When I drove, salesguy let me get it to 100mph in 3rd gear. :D

That's exactly why I'd never buy a demo. The car needs to break in properly.

I looked seriously at the Bmw 330 coupes, (and the Inf G35 coupe) but the Acura CL 6 speed just offered more for less, has more room, better reliability, more features, more luxury and comfort, was faster, much better shifter. I'm amazed at how many 3 series cars BMW sells. Image and reputation is a big seller. The 3 coupes are beautiful cars but I couldn't justify the price for it, and want you don't get that the Acura offers. good luck.
