My Dripping Wet and Glowing Cinnabar Red VTEG - Part 2

Well, I have my product layering pretty much where I want it for my Cinnabar Red Teg so I figured, time for pics!

Currently on the paint, Poorboy's EX x 3, Poorboy's Natty's Paste Wax x 2, touchups with Gliptone Carnauba Body Gloss. Armor All on the tires.

I tried to find a nice place to take pics and when all was said and done, I felt the "Cleaners" was pretty appropriate :D.

And here is a pic of how my trunk looks when I go to detail. Clear bag is all terry towels, chenille pads/mitts, and cloth applicators. Gap bag is all microfiber towels, Waffle Weaves, applicators, and foam applicators. Gray container is all polishes, glazes, sealants, and waxes. Clear container is washes, degreasers, general cleaners, dressings. Cardboard box is all brushes, vacuum attachments, wetsanding papers, tire swipes, etc. Notice the shop vap, rotary polisher, 2 50' extension cords, 2 buckets, and various pads. It all fits! :)

Enjoy!

Be careful, your paint will run off the car :D

Very nice :xyxthumbs

How much time do you allow between the layers ?

And think about this one: where would you put all that stuff if you had a Mini ?

Looks great Sean! I'll be looking for new pics next month when you tear it all down and try something else!

It really is a sickness and we all suffer from it! :)

I am sure you are familer with the Milano red color that my civic has. I was wondering, what is the difference between the cinnabar red and mine? Could I expect near the same results (minus the rotory skills) color wise, or are they completely different?

The car really does look great, but I nit picked a few things. No dressing on the trunk seals? No engine pics? Foggy headlights?

:xyxthumbs

There are no foggy lights on that car. It's a reflection that makes them appear that way. If I were to guess, I would say he uses Vanilla Moose on them ;)

now this is why i am jealous of red cars. you can make them look so awesome! nice job! :bow

and it's funny, i saw this red civic with rims similar to yours, and i thought, hey those are the rims GSRstilez has. oh but his, ie your, rims and car look way better! :D

Well I'll start off with a big thank you to everyone who has complimented. I take a lot of pride in my work and always want it looking its absolute best. :)

kartoon: The paint is still in the drying stage so I'm being careful :D ...about 24hrs between layers...In a mini...in the back seat

DetailGirl: I clayed back in June, but I repolished late July with SSR2, then 1...What is listed is all I have on it :)

Scott: Menzerna polishes and FMJ is next :up ... I have a feeling I will be back to this combo though since it looks like I painted my car 5 minutes ago.

mnbv: Milano Red is a hair darker than mine. A big key to achieving the absolute best shine is removing the defects, so I'd definately get serious with polishing. Foggy headlights are actually just reflections. I had them wetsanded and clearcoated so they reflect like paint now :)

ZaneO: Ex x 3 on the headlights :lol

hirosh: Thanks! :bounce

I saw your post last night and the pictures were overwhelming especially,I thought the first two..the paint looked so liquid and wet,or like one of those bright red "candy" apples I ate as a kid..Great job!!

EJ

Well this sure does motivate me....to go empty my wallet on yet even more Poorboy's stuff :D

Seriously, now I wanna try EX and Natty's!

Wolfgang's look is close, but its more 'glow' as compared to wet.

Scott: No #16. I have soo many products as it is...I'm contemplating whether or not to add that. How user friendly is it? How much more of a look do you get as opposed to P21s?
