My decision is in your hands: PO106FF or Optimum OHC?

Their ceramiclear line uses an optical grade cerium oxide as it's main abrasive, that's why it costs so much more than their standard polishes.

Some cutting agents are worse than others, for example many traditional compounds contain crystalline silica, which can cause black lung disease.

Ok. In that case, cerium oxid can´t be so dangerous beacuse Menzerna did not mention it in the MSDS, and that they used the aluminum oxid as a second abrasive?

PO85RD3.02 - Intensive Polish

Naphtha (petroleum),

hydrotreated heavy 64742-48-9 265-150-3 5-25 % Xn 65,66

Aluminium oxide 1344-28-1 215-691-6 5-15 %

I am not an expert on abbrasives but I read that Aluminum oxid is more expensive then cerium oxid

Cerium Oxide:

Cerium oxid Top Grade (99.9%) 1/2 lb. $13.50

Aluminum Oxide (Alumina):

Aluminum "A" (.3 micron) 1/2 lb. $32.00

Cerium Oxide: heelclick Now that's good news to hear, it's safe. Now we know why the finish is so shiny. Glass polishing abrasive. Go figure... If it can polish glass it has to be able to polish ceramic clear.

Thank You Menzerna,

Derrick

blackfire, it's better to be safe then sorry, i say just use your meguairs, if it doens't work out or if it takes too long, go for the blackfire. It probably wouldn't be taht swirled so if you can do it in 1 step, then you've saved yourself a lot of money already.

:wavey Meguiars will always have a place in my detailing arsenal. The 80 series polishes are excellent on BMW paints (not exactly sure why) and single stage paint.

I remember you. :)

Still trying to get over how cold it was that day!

Scottwax,

It's going to be cold again tonight and tomorrow. Grapevine Christmas parade is tomorrow night and my children will be in it. :spot

Yippee,

Derrick
