Which product is better on a white vehicle.... zaino or klasse for shine.I have used both products on black and could not tell any real difference. Finally I have purchased a new white truck, which I know will be easier to keep clean. I was just wondering if any one out there has tried both products on white and which one they preferred. Also has anyone had a problem with getting either product off vinyl if you should accidently get some on it.

I use Klasse, but it's hard to go wrong with either product. The Klasse looks great on white and silver. To keep detailing products from sticking to the plastic bits on my cars, I use 303 on the plastic first, that seems to make it easy to wipe off polishes and waxes.
 
I agree with James A. Either will work nicely. The klasse in my opinion has a more reflective shine than zaino and will look a little better on white.IMHO But like I said either will look great. To keep wax off trim I use masking tape. Only takes a few minutes and is cheap.
 
My garage queen is a white Ford Bronco and although I have never used Zaino or Klasse on it, I do use Pinnacle Paste Glaz and or Blitz and lemme tell ya....it absolutely dazzles....especially with the PPG. It literally sparkles. Of course a lot has to do with the prepping but since your vehicle is new, that is not an issue. I also use Lexol Vinylex on the tires. *IMO*, a white or light colored car looks very sharp with a "moderately" glossy tire dressing where a darker colored vehicle looks sharp with a satin or low gloss dressing. Vinylex, to me is somehere between satin and glossy. Its not real glossy yet a lil more gloss/shine than a satin. My .02

As the OG members of this board know, I tend to be in the Klasse camp. But there are more issues to consider when choosing a wax.



In particular, I break a shine basically down into reflectivity and depth. Metallic colored cars tend to have the reflectivity inherent in the paint, and thus using a wax with more depth (Klasse I feel has more depth) would be more appropriate.



Non metallic colored paints benefit heavily from reflective waxes like Zaino. It lends a little pizzaz to an otherwise deep, but less reflective paint.



So if I were to own a white car, I'd use Zaino.



Since I now am the owner of two silver and one black, I use Klasse on all three (being that they are all metallic paints).

(That's a dark garage - otherwise - I hear people say that Klasse makes the car darker - I didn't notice any difference between a non-Klasse'd panel and a Klasse'd panel)

At first - I was disappointed that Blackfire came out two days after I bought Klasse (when the truck was brand spankin' new, I rushed to get my order in, because it came two weeks early). But the results I got from Klasse impressed me a great deal - and I haven't even applied a carnuba topper.
 
Awesome pics John. You won't believe how much better your finish can still get with some Pinnacle Paste Glaze on top. Believe it buddy!
 
Thanks, Don - actually - I want to throw some carnuba on it. And since I was looking to place an order with CMA, maybe I'll just throw in a can of Pinnacle for the heck of it :)



What's it's durability like? I've got some Meguiar's #26 lying around - and one thing I like about that, it's incredibly durable.



I just hate to throw wax on top because of the black rubber trim all over the truck. As careful as I can be, I'm sure I'll get some on the trim. With Klasse, I don't have to worry - I can be my slobbery old self.
 
John, Pinnacle Paste Glaze is one of the very best carnaubas out there. You should also know that it is one of the few carnaubas that doesn't stain any trim white. Many others here will attest to that. Also, Koyaanisqatsi is correct. Blitz is much more durable than the #26. It, too, is one of my favorite carnaubas as it gives awesome depth and the best durability of any carnauba that I've tried. Laters
 
My wife's Xterra is white and I use Zaino on it with excellent results.I have 1xZ1 and 1xZ2 and it makes her car look better than most new white cars.As others have said you can't go wrong with Klasse or Z.:up

If it doesn't get white crap on black trim - I'm SOLD. Well - I was gonna place that CMA order anyhow, might as well throw some Pinnacle in there.



Actually - durability only concerns me for the upcoming 4 months. I don't mind washing and waxing the other times, but working in the winter around here (NYC) ain't for me.
 
John, if you do go ahead and try the Pinnacle Paste Glaze you're going to love it. Trust me. It is the EASIEST wax to work with. It applies so smoothly and effortlessly and its removal is nearly as easy. Laters

I am new to this site and have lurked as a guest for a few days. There is a ton of information here!

Well I have an 03 Honda Accord in Pearl Grey and it is the worst car I have ever seen for dents and scratches. I always washed it (incorrectly according to this site) and have waxed it twice in the 3 years I have had it(best I could do at the time :/). I recently used NuFinish polish as my "wax" for the year and tried their scratch remover but was unsuccessful in doing anything to the car. I don't like the finish NuFinish gave me. I've read alot on here and was introduced to claying and compounds and polish versus wax versus paint sealant (which still confuses me a little) and want to go further and learn how to detail my car right. So, I need to get rid of all these scratches and find the right products to use and how to use them. I have an orbital buffer (very imprecise in my opinion and got wax on my plastic trim turning it a grayish color) and car wash solution but that's it. I'll attach pictures here of my car for your viewing pleasure.

Someone really threw their door into my car and left paint, scratches, and a dent I would be happy with just getting rid of the white.

The front of the hood is rusting and I think touchup paint was just thrown on top of the rust...also can you see all the little white spots from rocks hitting my hood?

So what can I do? I need to stay on a budget and want to learn how to do it myself. I think a good starting point for just regular waxing of my car is http://properautocare.com/mesmsuclkit.html because it comes with wax and such but let me know what you think.
