My car is gone, where did it go?

I pulled up a post from many moons ago to pind some of my old pics and the post is still there and their are pictures attached, but they are not of my car. Weird.

That is a bug in VB that can happen with attached images. That is why David recommends that you upload your files to the gallery here or host them somewhere else and link them inline with img tags in your post rather than attaching.

This is a bug that's cropped up a couple of times in the past; occasionally, the links for attached images get screwed up in the database, and you end pointing to the wrong picture file.



Until the next upgrade of vBulletin, the only way to work around the bug is to avoid using attachments entirely. Instead, upload your pictures to your Autopia gallery (free), or to the picture host of your choice, then use the IMG tag to display your pictures inline rather than attaching them.
