My business is crazy busy!!

Dans Detailing

Dan's Detailing
I tried a new method of advertising that seems to really have paid off so I thought I'd share it here.

I have a good repore' with several automotive repair shops in the area, and I made thes great looking one sided color flyers specially made by myself on a color laser printer. I then stick that into a 8.5x11 plastic holder/stand that has a pocket for my brochures. I created 4-5 of these and talked with the automotive shop owners whom I have done work for in the past . We can to an agreement that I can leave these on their front counters with a stack of business cards in a seperate holder . So for the minimal $50 investment I have gotten over $1200 worth of work JUST from those displays. Mind you I do this part time after hours and weekends but have over 12 years expereicne in the detailing world. In exchange for leavign the displays there, I offer the owner a free detail on their personal or business vehicle, as well as one 15% off coupon for each employee there. This has worked very well.

Thsi combined with my other truck leasing accounts has netted me some serious profit this month alone!

:) Awesome!! That's a good idea with putting brochure holders in auto repair shops.

I also have a couple of trucking accounts. Doing trucks is not really popular but there is a ton of money in it. With each account, I make 12k a year per account!!

Congratulations on the business boom!! Now just don't work so hard that you don't get to enjoy any of that hard earned cash!! :)

Awesome...that's great! I'm getting ready to do a huge post card mailing to many businesses in hopes of some new work!

Side businesses take a lot of effort and money sometimes don't they?

Again...great job on your accomplishments!

Thanks! With my full time job 7-4, then a business to run after hours and weekends, The past 30 days I go home to sleep and thats about it. I am getting burned out and soon will need a weekend away somewhere with my loving girlfriend.

That's easy to do working 2 jobs. I find myself in that same predicament sometimes...runnin' on overload and just need to get away for a short bit to regroup my thoughts.

Keep up the good work and hang in there!!

Forgot to mention that I just moved last weekend, and still managed to squeeze 2 details in . I am also a volunteer fireman and my girlfriend is an EMT.

Oh yeah, and I have 3 kids from 2 previous marriages that live with me part time and one on the way due in jan. Anyone want to swap schedules?
