My Business Cards...PDF QUESTION

Tex Star Detail

Formerly TexasTB
OK, So I was playing around online. Came across a GREAT site for making cards. By far, the best one I have found... www.printsmadeeasy.com ...I did some up....NOT FINAL though...Just playing around. So here is my question, I saved them, and emailed them to myself, but are in PDF format. Do I need to change them to .JPG, or something similar? How do I upload them to the internet?

TIA
Chris

don't change the original file. PDF. is the file type the printer will need to print the file. You could duplicate the file by opening it and saving it AS a jpg rather then just overwriting the file by saving.

Another site to check out is http://www.greatfxbusinesscards.com/

Click on the "Design Online" in the middle of the page and check out 6 pages of Auto templates.

I used them and they were great. Quality gloss card stock, variety of fonts, colors, sizes, etc...The owner of the site was real nice and personable.

Just another suggestion in case folks want some other places to check out.

Here They Are

Got them finally saved as .jpg

Here is the front....

So what does everyone think SO FAR????

Looks good to me....r u ordering them? or are printing them out urself?

if ur printing them out urself...how do u do it? /espicially getting the back printed too:confused: cuz i need new bizness cards

thanks

I'll be ordering them from the website I put in the first post. www.printsmadeeasy.com I would print them myself, but by the time I get the paper and use ink, it would equal the same, if not more, than what the professional ones would cost.

I found that site to be one of the easiest. You can actually see what you are doing, other than just uploading your own graphic, and thats it. You can truly customize these....

Looks good but do you need the three borders? I'd say eliminate the borders which will make it less busy. And on the back when you say "visit our website" I'd say put the website there also as people may not notice it on the front, perhaps say "visit www.xxxx.com for details"

Have you ever tried vistaprint.com? That's where I get my cards made at and they have always done a great job on them. You can have your custom cards printed double sided as well. Glossy, matte, whatever you want. I don't know how their prices compare, but I've always felt they were reasonable.

Good idea.

It's still in the rough.......still needs tweaked a bit.....
As for the borders...It has none.....I don't know why it shows them...maybe so you cannot design through them, and print on your own...I dunno. Or maybe it's just how it shows it. Most design places have 3 lines around the card....The inner one is the safe zone.....the very outer is for the "Full Bleed"...not sure what the middle line is for......

I bought some off there before, I did like the quality of the work. I found the other site, and it was so much easier to design. And to be able to see what you are doing. As for price, I am spending less than $45 for 300 cards. A little more than other paces.
