What dvd are you getting?

Ya I was wondering about the same thing. Showcardetailing.com only offers the random orbital DVD guide. There doesnt seem to be a circular polisher DVD there...

Hey guys,

I just bought my Neiko Polisher today. Got it for a good deal off eBay and picked it up in Canada ($55CAD). Just now gonna save up, buy the Meguiars backing plate and pads, some chemicals and practice!

Here are some images of this unit (looks like the Vector), specs say 1000-3000RPM (speed dial from 1-6). Specs also say 8lbs but it feels heavy (I must be weak) and all the weight is at the top...I guess I don't even need to give it pressure then.

thats identical to the vector, just a different color! i wonder if its made from the same place and just relabeled? thats weird on how heavy it feels to you.. the first one i got at a paint supply store, they had the vector and dewalt which weights 8.25lbs. the vector was nothing compared to the dewalt in terms of weight. i though it starts at 600 rpms?

:goodjob have fun with the buffer, you'll love it!

its fine now. With the handle on the machine, weight is distributed much better making it much lighter. It felt heavy cuz all the weight was on the front while I was holding from just the handle at the back.

This thing starts @ 1000RPM according to the box. But maybe its from 600RPM's??? I am not sure... If the manual and box say 1000RPM-3000RPM it would play out like this with the 1-6 speed settings on the machine...

1 - 1000RPM

2 - 1400RPM

3 - 1800RPM

4 - 2200RPM

5 - 2600RPM

6 - 3000RPM

So ya...I'll see...

just wondering how's the quality of the polisher and what kind of pads and waxes did you use?

i'm going to get one myself, the neiko polisher, its about time i post here, hehe, long time lurker

Well, it will polish paint. How good the speed control is is the question. I'd guess that at that price it's not very good.
