my brand new 05 jet black m3 detail!

WoW!

Congrats on the new addition! Perfect combo for that color IMO :).

You may want to try out some Poorboy's Wheel Sealant for those rims. Other members here have had success with it thus far.

LOL, Sean I was just going to say the same thing. :D

The PB works really well on BMW wheels-noticeable improvement in managing brake dust.

Congratulations! I remember the feeling well. Couldn't sleep the night before I picked it up, got up about 4 AM, had about 10 cups of coffee prior to the pickup. Just wait till you finish the 1200 mile breakin, and are able to rev it close to 8000rpm. There is no power like M power!

man i filled up for the first time and looked at the car under the lighting and there is very light micromarring everywhere even though they didnt detail it. i am hoping it wasnt from me as i cant be any more careful when washing the car. any recomendations on how you prevent micromarring on your car since our cars have very soft paint? im hoping they were there as i cant see them in my garage lighting. i think im going to pick up some of those gas station lights if i can find what they are

i had an smgII m3 and if i were to choose again i'd probably go with a stick. the smg was great for fast shifts (especially rev matching downshifts so you could ROCKET away on the highway) but it was actually pretty bad at moving away from a light smoothly. it had a tough time dealing with transitions between speeds <5mph and full stop.
