my baby is finally here!!!!

Holy smoke.......that thing is a beast.:soscared:

I think you need a Dodge Cumin diesel truck to haul that trailer.

today i spend most of the day getting a few supplies from here and there.

After that

1 vacuumed the floor,

2 taped off the walls, and other areas.

3 Painted the walls and floor with Bin pigmented shellac.

Let dry.

4 Painted the walls with a White high gloss exterior paint.

5 Painted the floor with a No-slip non skid paint.

Waited for it to dry.

6 Removed two door trays as they were mounted 18" to low. They were riveted so i had to drill out the rivets.

7 Drilled out the 4 holes for the air compressor feet.

Two holes were through steel. So i tapped those 1/2x13.

8 Bolted the two tapped holes first.

9 Bolted the 2nd two holes next

10 Strapped the tank to the wall with Water heater strapp.

I could tell from the interior shots that it was wide angle, but even from the outside... holy cow. And 10X6.8X6.5? We could fit tons of skinny chicks in there. I'll just take the space of 3.

Nice job with it, though. It's really looking good. What kind of non-skid floor and what do you think of it so far?

It is a paint on nonskid surface. So far i can move the generator and the compressor around with out it chipping so... I guess it will hold up fine. The exterior dimensions are 14x7x6.5

Well the trailer has hit a snag., The tank, pressure washer, an insta hot, upholstery tool and vac system were shipped incomplete.

several of the fittings are the wrong size, I found all this out yesterday. I just got off the phone with johnathan (along with 3 others at pressurewasherdot net) and they are unwilling to make the system the complete system i had discussed with him via email and on the phone.

So i get the joy of taking 5 hours to unbolt everything.

For reference it was:

1/4 male thread to male nipple (needed to attach the foam canon to the High pressure wand)

3 pressure wand tips (needed to actually use the wand)

u bolts for the tank (needed to actually bolt the tank to the floor.)

3/8 female threat do male nipple (improperly sized quick disconnect. I was provided 1/4" this is needed to attach the insti-hot to the pressure washer)

25ft upholstery tool hose Of which i barely received 9 (needed because i did not want to drag 50' of pressure hose, 10 ft of upholstery tool, and a insti-hot into my work area. I specifically asked for 25' upholstery tool as i could mount the insta-hot in the trailer.

Even if they shipped the parts i would be now 3 days behind, meaning 3 days with out the trailer up and running. 50 bucks in parts makes a several thousand dollar screw up on my end.

To say i am slightly irate is a great understatement. I did not post this last night as i wanted to see if they would ship what was needed to make it complete. They wanted to charge me for it.

sigh. what a colossal waste of my time.

Busy day. I started out by wiring the air compressor. Finding all the fittings, finding the hose and air regulator. Home depot and lowes had nada of what i needed. I ended up finding all of the fittings i needed at ace hardware of all places.

I then laid out the pressure washer, water recovery system, tank, hot water heater, hose reel. There is so much more to do with the pressure washer system. I can not even test run it till i receive the missing parts Jeremy @ pressurewasher.net.

After that i got the generator up and running. I need to seal up the exhaust piping and tighten it up. I also have to strap it down underneath the trailer. I need to do this for both the pressure washer and generator.

Tomorrow i will finish the air compressor. Then i will build the benches on the left of the water tank, and the right of the air compressor.

I love to see top of the line equipment. Looks like you’re doing it first class.

I am not sure what exactly your intended use of the trailer is but if is for regular detailing (not fleet work) I think your trailer is awfully too big.

I speak with experience -

again it is a wide angle lens. But yes i do believe it is a large trailer. I debated long and hard. I do not plan on fleet work. I do chose to have ease of use, storage, and constant work flow of convenience.

I have worked out of a van for 8 years or more in the carpet trade. Not being able to stand up is a very large concern to me. As also is not being able to walk front to back. Because of these factors i chose one the size i did. I do agree i probably picked two large of a tank. but my options were 60 and 150. Shrug what can you do.

Very nice setup.

Do you still clean house carpets?

Just enough room for a big screen and Lazy-boy. LOL

better to have to much space than not enough if you had to pick between the two. Personally I'm loving the set up. Giving me some ideas for my next location over on Lake Michigan here in about a year or so. I want to get into the marina's and such. Your's looks like the perfect set up.

Grouse- I notice that you mounted the compressor directly to the floor (as opposed to bolting it to mounting pads with isolating springs/etc.). Any vibration issues?

Hope you get the missing parts issue sorted out. Has it turned you off of pressurewasher.net or would you still recommend them? This sounds like more than just a little misunderstanding...

Today was hell,

First i re wired the old battery to the generator battery. To i had to crawl under the trailer drill holes, run wires etc. Now the trailer and the generator use the same battery.

After that i assembled the work benches and shelving for the drivers side of the trailer. After sliding it in getting it where i wanted it and leveling it out. I screwed the 2 ton work bench to the wall and floor.

I went to lowes and picked up a few things, one was a replacement plug for the air compressor. the guy at ace handed me an L14-20 i needed an L14-30. what is the difference you ask. The the size of the plugs, and a bent prong. After replacing that the whole thing fired up just wonderfully.

I then assembled the work bench for the front of the trailer, along with attaching the air reel to it. I tried it for a bit on top of the work bench but i think that will eventually get in the way of my coffee machine, and microwave combo. [:D] (i am a seattlite)

I then focused on getting the exterior door hanger/ racks re hung. Originally they had been mounted 8 inches from the bottom of the door. Putting the work shelf below waist level. I had to drill out the rivets, cut some 1/4" ply to fit the shelving. (doors were backed with 1/8" ply not the 3/4 of my walls). I then used liquid nails, and screws to attach the door, ply and shelves to each other.

I attached my vac hose, garden hoses, pressure wand hook, foam cannon hook, upholstery tool hook. After that it was a quick bit of organization from what was in both my garage and tahoe.

After i receive the missing bits from the pressure washer vendor it will be ready for a few test runs.

I did think of mounting pads, but with the generator, compressor, pressure washer, and vacuum i only put the pads on the pressure washer.

The generator has it built into the engine. The compressor barely vibrates as it is.

as for pressure washer.net it was a tense situation.

Grouse- OK, I should've known you'd give thought to the mounting pads :D

I got your PM (BTW, your mailbox is full so I couldn't respond) and all I can say is: "sheesh, now I know where *not* to shop!"
