My annual "I hate Summer thread"....

I live in merced, I dont know if u know where that is but its about 30min from modesto and about an hour from fresno. It hasnt gotten into the 90s yet hear in the middle of the valley, but it almost did today. Im with you man, i hate the summer as well, all the heat does is attract dust, although i do like having the summer off from college and i do like swimming :)

Now North Dakota has the most phucked up weather. Talk about two different extremes. -35 below in the winters to 100 degrees in the summer. I hate it.

In January there was a week were it was -40 below and than two days later it was 40 above. 80 degree difference in two days, rediculous.

Try Palm Springs/Palm Desert in the summer, a nice 120 degrees. I hate the heat, but at least it is a dry heat for the most part. Now, Texas or Florida, man, I could not live there, hot and humid.

Never been through dry heat. In FL all that humid air will make it fell like it's 120 degrees. I even break a sweat walking to my car during the summer time. Hate it, especially mowing the grass every week! :wall

Oh can you say Disney World in the summer?? HELL NO!!

I bet the whole population got the flu?

Where I am in New England, we have four distict seasons. I am about an hour and half drive from my choice of beaches, two hours from the mountains and also have the Red Sox, Patriots Celtics and Bruins!

its april and here in ga, we have nice weather for 3 days, then today its like 38 and tonight its supposed to be below freezing and flurries. Go figure. Funny how across the country could be summer... Oh although we do have the dreaded pollen..

Wish it would hurry up and get hot in Texas. Frickin' upper 30s yesterday morning, it sucks. Highs all weekend and into Monday never got out of the 60s. :hairpull

I absolutely despise winter or any time of the year it is cold.

You own an auto detailing business, and complain about good weather? Good weather is good for business in my experience.

:werd: Rain is the enemy. Rain means cancellations and rescheduling problems. No need for rain to get cars dirty either, not with dust, pollen, sprinklers, bugs, bird bombs, etc.

Here in Southern Ontario we are protected by the two lakes and the escarpment. We get milder winters only a few days in the 20's not much snow only 12" or less. Our summers are warm but only the odd day above 30 degrees. Even thats not bad because we get the breeze off the lakes and that knocks it back to a comfortable level. Perfect climate for growing amazing vegetables and fruit and grapes for wine.

It's a very similar climate to that of Madison CT where I lived for 6 years.

I have no idea how you guys live with 100+ degree heat I find that amazing!

We have 4 seasons here in Southern Cal, they're just different ones.

Green in the Winter

Brown in the spring

on fire in the summer

Mudslide in the fall

So it's green, brown, fire and mud. See, 4 seasons!
