Hey, well I finally got a chance to do my own car, the only trouble I had was breaking down the OP enough to get out some of the micromarring that I was encountering, but other than that my car was a breeze lol :woohoo: Hope you guys appreciate my effort to try and get white to look good, its hard but I think I did an ok job, car looked pretty good to me :)

Exterior:

-Wash with NXT wash

-Spot clay with Pinnacle Poly Ultra Clay (only needed it on the lower parts of my doors/bumper

-Optimum Compound + LC Orange pad, PC at 6 (for areas with a little bit of cobwebbing)

-Optimum Polish + LC Orange Pad whole car PC at 6...

-Poorboys EX-P

-P21S

-Wheels sealed with Poorboys wheel sealent

-Trim dressed with Poorboys Trim restorer

-NXT Glass Cleaner

Interior:-Quick Vacuum

-Lightly wiped down my dash/door panels, (I dress them once a week lol)

-Leather Conditioned with Pinnacle's Natural Brilliance Leather Conditioner (I do this every two weeks lol)

Very beautiful mach1. Whatd you use on the chin spoiler/dash and engine?

Awesome car :goodjob

On the chin spoiler I used Poorboys Trim Restorer, typically I apply it every two weeks just to maintain that fresh black look, and the dash the same thing, I didn't even apply anything to the dash today, just wiped off the dust because I did my interior about 2 days ago! As for the engine I just popped the hood and snapped the picture, I clean the engine about every two weeks, and the car only has 8000 miles on it :2thumbs:

Looks really good to me, excellent wet glow for white paint! :)

I bet stepping down to a polishing pad would have removed the rest of the marring.

Wow, talk about the perfect person to ask this.

Well let me say I've had my PC for 3 days and I have a 2001 Mustang GT Oxford White.

Pretty heavily swirled and am having a bit of difficulty. Is the CC really hard on our Mustangs???? I've had to do a three step syetem. Edge yellow/XMT #3, green pad/XMT 2, and orange pad/XMT #1. I've really only done one door and that's about it.

I dont think the CC is to to hard on our Mustangs. OC followed by OP got about 98% swirls out of my black 04 GT..

And I must say, this thread really makes me wanna trade in the GT for a 4v :D

Do you cover anything when your doing the engine?

Looks like you're doing an awesome job there...I've really got to say that the CC on mustangs is really not that hard, OC and OP like evenflow said should take out all marring if used properly, seems like its easier to put marring in the cars than to take them out though!!! :nervous:

4V for TEH WIN!!! I drove my brother's GT for a long time and I finally said f*** it, I'll spend the extra cash and get a mach :woohoo: , I really don't cover up anything while I'm doing the engine, I lightly mist it, nothing too crazy, and wipe it down often so its extremely easy to keep clean

Wow, absolutely insane for a Ford white paint! Love the reflection. Micromarring seems minimal, but still existent.

very nice mach.......gotta love them cars. That car is spotless.

My buddy has an 03 Cobra and it is very quick.......lots of fun.

I see you have some DR's on the back.....any engine work done??

Again...very nice job!

Thankyou! The only mods that are done performance wise are my JLT Intake, DiabloSport Predator tuner, and other than that its stock (except for FRPP C springs, and the 10.5 DD Mach 1 Replica wheels out back with my drag radials) I also have a Raptor shift light in my AC Vent, heres a pic...

My best run so far was a 13.55 @ 104.8 with a 2.06 60' :wall  If I got my 60' down I'd be in the low 13's for sure...I've seen guys on Mach 1 Registry with the same mods as me going high 12's :grinno:

As for future plans for the car, I'm going to go with a set of longtubes from Bassani or Kooks, an x-pipe, and a catback, then I'm thinking about putting some gears in her, maybe a set of 3.90's....4.10's are a little rough for daily driving :o

ahhhhh....the ever so critical 60'........sucks when ya spin doesn't it??

Get that down to 1.8 - 1.7 with those DR's and you are in the 12's my man...... I know they run strong, because I have raced a few.

I ran a 13.7 when my truck was stock, but I have yet to run agian after a few mods. I hope to be in the 12's after a 6# pulley swap and a predator tune.

Keep me up to date on your times....I love the drags as much as I love detailing.:2thumbs: BTW....love the placementof the shift light.

Oh....what do you use on your tires???
