The car is 11 months old with just about 9K miles on it. It's pretty mint, and luckily was never really detailed, buffed, or even washed much since it was garaged and only driven in nice weather. I considered an E90, but really like the ZHP and it was a nice deal over new.
It drives much different than my 01 325i with sports package. The car feels heavier and much more solid, but is much more responsive. The springs are firmer, steering is quicker ratio and heavier, and the car sits lower on 18" wheels and FAT tires. Ride quality is not really compromised much, but it kind of hops over the large bumps in the roads at high speeds instead of floating over them. The thicker M steering wheel also plays a part in the road feel. A simple change, but a very different feel.
The 6 speed shifter is a 1000% improvement over the sloppy 5 speed on my 325i. The ratios are perfect and I have been averaging around 28-30 mpg highway suprisingly. Acceleration is vastly improved. The car pulls all the way to redline and has adequate low end torque. I actually find myself driving this car much less agressive than my 325i around town because of the low end power. The factory exhaust is perfect.....kind of loud for a stock car, but very throaty and deep.
All and all it has exceeded my expectations. I definately recommend the ZHP!
