My 1st Porsche! What to detail it with?

Deanski et:all, Thanks for the good info. I ordered the Zaino ultimate kit/xtra zaino applicators/zaino tire shine/Z8/Sonus bucket w' grit guard, wheels...the whole shabang/Plexus for the clear bra/variety of mf towels from Sonus & some other stuff that I can't remember what I bought. I just kept adding things to my cart! The car's due to arrive the 1st part of next week. I'll be busy getting it smogged/registered etc... I can't wait & I'll post some pics as soon as I can. Thanks for the good input and to all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to you also. Enjoy. (that was a nice way to end the thread).

SM, this is one of the nicest shots I've seen this year. Kudos! I don't even care to know what the product was...it doesn't matter :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

PT, I didn't read this entire post. Did you mention your experience level when it comes to detailing? Man, the last thing I'm gonna do is start to learn about "detailing" on a nice car when there are tons of capable and qualified individuals in my backyard (your backyard) who can do 10X the job I can for a fraction of the price. At a minimum, practice on the beater before you touch the good car :)

Whatever you decide, go real easy and don't do any permanent damage. Good luck, and keep it nice!

:D

Deanski, I've experienced PCCB's and I must say that short of a race car there is no comparison. Add that to the super sticky tires on the GT3 and WOW is all I can say.

Thanks for the compliments on the pics. They're truly appreciated.:)

Once you get all the goodies, let us know how you're doing or if you have further question.

May I also add, there is a very good forum that deals strickly Zaino (mostly) and there are many of us who post updates, testing, tips/tricks etc.

The site is detailersclub.com

One tip, I add a few spritz of Z8 into my Z5-Pro or Z2-Pro with ZFX mix.

Just remember, Zaino goes on thin, very, very thin. So thin it's hard to see or tell. Too much and it streaks, so go very light!

See you over at Rennlist!!!:2thumbs:

Regards,

Deanski

Thanks again to all the responders for the good advice. I'll keep the forum posted on my progress. I plan on trying the new product on my Prius & wife's RX330 before attacking the Porsche. I am by no means a professional detailer. I will approach it as a pro and get as much info as a I can before attacking the cars. I've been washing and detailing cars since I was a kid and enjoy the process/sweat and results. It's therapeutic for me and I would rarely consider taking a car to a car wash. I always feel that I know every blemish & imperfection on a car after washing/detailing it. The Porsche is going to be pampered in every way & I look forward to the process. All the best & once again......Happy Thanksgiving!
