Did a little detail over the weekend. My car has been polished and waxed 1-2x a year since I've owned it, but I drive the hell out of it, and it sees 60 highway miles a day. About to hit 100K so I figured its about time to do a little more than a 2 step detail. I apologize my pics are crap, I was dying it was so hot out that I didn't take very many, and didn't look them over until the car was done. Saturday required 4 t-shirt changes!

Before Shots, don't really show how crappy it looked. Car is covered in swirl marks, dried water spots, tons of tiny chips etc.... No bead or sheeting at all. Car hasn't been done since last September....lazy I know.....

Hit wheels with Sonax. Stuff works great, but pricey.

During Clay bar(I think). Ended up claying the entire car because it was so bad, and honestly, I should have used a medium grade clay, but this was all I had.

After Super Intensive Polish and Yellow pad. I should have worked the polish in more, this was my first time using the stuff though, and I had crappy lighting. Couldn't pull outside for inspection since it was downpour outside to boot. Oh well.

After PO203S and PO85RD I think, I forget when I took this. I alternated between an Uber pad and a CCS to see if there was any difference.

Sealant applied, I only let it cure for 45 minutes but I think next time I'll let it go longer. I let it sit 12 hours before applying wax over it.

Came out ok, I'd say its about 80% of where it will be when I redo it before winter. I learned a lot this time through. Overall though for 100k miles, 80 of which are Rochester, I'm pretty happy. Headlights were also done with the same process and came out awesome, they were super cloudy and beat beforehand. Almost new now.

I'd love any feedback from experienced people, I'm looking to begin doing this as a part time weekend gig so any advice is appreciated. I did the interior and engine as well just didn't take pictures. I'll be doing a couple motorcycles in the next week so I throw up some pics then.

Great job. Subaru's have a really soft paint. If I were you I'd invest in more pads, mainly orange, white, black, and if you do some harder clear coat cars use PFW (purple foamed wool). Also try and get a couple 4" pads for those small area's. Good job though. Work on getting that PC to the level where you can step up to a rotary..
