My 1.5 HP shop vac strong enough to extract?

Is my 2 gallon, 1.5 hp wet/dry vac strong enough to extract liquids from carpet? I have a hand held one.



I thinking of spraying Megs APC+, scrub with brush, extract with shop vac.



Good idea?
