I was playing... :0

It was a 1500+ mile trip

Wonder how well I'll do going back to FL, since it's al down hill. :D

Since the best and the average are both the same. I'm thinking you had the guage set to show the last 50 miles, hit the reset button, took your foot off the throttle creating a high vacuum situation and took the picture. ;)

Now do the same thing and put your foot through the floorpan.

I like that Mileage !!!

My Hemi Grand Cherokee got 35mpg going Downhill on the long Grapevine Descent heading North on I-5 out of LA ... :)
If it had been longer and I didnt have to hit the brakes alot for slower drivers, it would have been better...

I think I could be happy with the twin-turbocharged 1.5L 4-Cylinder BMW first built to go F-1 racing in the early 80's I believe...

That little mouse put out 1,200 horse power, and the F-1 Drivers were scared of it because it broke traction at any speed when you put the hammer down... :)

Perhaps detune it to say 600-700hp, to give it some high MPG numbers on the freeway... :)

I could do that !!!

I'll stick with Japanese sports cars, some of which have a nice mix of power and MPG.

Mine however does not meet those standards. Overall I average about 19.5 MPG in a 4cyl  .

I had a 1990 Plymouth Laser, 2.0 Intercooled turbo That thing was FAST and got ~30mpg. It made me a believer in small engines w/forced induction

Anymore you can have both which is awesome. I have a v6 2013 Accord, which is by no means a muscle car, but I have a mix of options:

1) D and ECON (my usually daily driving setting) - Highest MPG
2) D - Decent MPG
3) S (sport mode which drops the tranny to 5 gears and higher shift points) - Worst MPG
4) S and ECON - Next worse MPG

I got to St. Paul and back to DM on one tank of gas one weekend. 40 MPG. Entire drive was in mode 1) above. Still had 2 gallons left when I got home (17 gal tank).

Actually you can't hit a reset button for this measurement.......

Believe me if I could have I would have.
