MSLT Alternatives

Can anyone recommend a good trim product that last a good while that's not in a spray bottle. I do like how MSLT comes out on all the trim on my X5 and there is alot - door molding, door sills, bottom and front bumpers. On the bottom and front bumpers, it's not like a strip that goes across but it's a huge part of the bumper itself.

I like MSLT (silicone formula) but I hate the aerosol spray can setup. I always use a small cloth/sponge to apply it and spraying on this 3" square sponge is annoying and wasteful as hell.

They do sell Trim Shine in the 5 Gallon Setup but for single owner car......that's a whole lotta product.:D

Was going to recommend Trim Shine in a 5 gallon set-up but seeing how you mentioned it is a bit too much, contact Stoner's to see if they offer a gallon liquid?

Its worth a shot....

you may want to try Einszett's Vinyl/Rubber Care or Top of the Lines Grape Tire Dressing. i use the TOL Grape on my client's X5's and it works really well, however on my own truck for all the plastic trim i use only the einszett(it works the best for me).:up

How long does each product last and how

s the gloss factor.. I actually considered getting the bottom bumpers + door trim painted but it was costly and there is a reason why BMW engineers designed it not painted.

Those areas get mucked up real quick. I clayed the car 2 months back and I just reclayed the rear painted portion of the bumper today.....alot of grime was just all over it.

both products are very resistant to the elements and dirt. they will actually make cleaning the dirt off easier, especially if you clean your X5 weekly or bi-weekly. the einszett usually lasts about a month or more on my truck that's outdoors 24/7. neither of the products are very glossy once they've dried. the TOL grape is more glossy than the einszett. if i had some sample bottles i'd send you some, but i'm fresh out right now.
