Mr. Clean Auto-Dry Carwash

They can be had for a much better price. Woot.com had them about 2 weeks ago for 2.99 ea. I hate everything about them except the deionized water. Essentially I use them as a cheap CR spotless system.

I know this post is a few months old but I figured I would throw my two cents in on it. I did not have very good luck with it. The soap didn't present enough suds or lubricant for my taste. I, like memnuts like the filtered water feature but in my experience with it was the filter did not last very long and turned dark brown after 3 washes. I didn't bother buying another filter and just trashed it. I have been thinking of buying a filter for my outside faucet and buy one of the foam "guns" I have seen around. Are the foam guns worth the money and do they make the job of washing much easier?

I generally like this device. I wear gloves because the handle gets slippery. I don't use the soap, but I especially like the spot free rinse. Over time, i discovered that I could use less of the rinse and it would still work great. So, if you wash your vehicle with a bucket and good car wash stuff, this gadget is pretty handy. I use a jelly blade after applying the rinse, then touch up spots remaining with microfiber towel.

They are worth the money but the effectiveness is up to you. I love foam guns, I have the Autogeek (Gilmour) foam gun and the Autogeek Foam Cannon HP for my pressure washer. What I like is that it allows me to get soap/water foam into every crack and crevice of the vehicle during the wash.

Some people like to foam up the vehicle and then wash (with or without a bucket) and some people like to foam up, rinse off and then wash normally.

Personally, I like to pre-foam the vehicle and then rinse everything off, wash the vehicle normally, and then re-foam the vehicle and rinse one more time. My final foam session is usually with 2oz of a wash & wax soap and 2oz Optimum No Rinse to give the vehicle a little extra protection and to make drying easier. It also allows me to thoroughly foam up the wheel wells, tires, rims, and wheel barrels.

Ultimately, it's a completely unnecessary tool but it makes for a much more thorough wash process, and I just think it's a ton of fun. I also find it allows me to make clever wash solutions to strip existing paint protection or add some light protection to areas I couldn't normally reach like wheel barrels....I could take my wheels off and apply a wax but during the winter months I am in no mood!

I would avoid the soap. - I have had issues with it and then product afterwards. It does not clean rinse - there is something in the soap that causes the spotless dry. I do like the filtered water for rinsing but as posted way back you can get a water filter kit for a motor home that will last longer filter more water and is a lot cheaper. If I need to do a fast soap wash I put in PB's SSS, risne with hose and final rinse with filtered water.
