Mr. Clean Auto-dry Car wash?

whoever has it, review it when you can. That way, we will know if it's another hype product, or if it lives up to its claims.

I'll be able to try it Monday when the weather improves, it's also the first wash after Crystal Guard, so I'll kill two review birds with one stone.

BTW if you don't order replacement filters and soap with the kit, you'll only be able to do 3 cars.

Just an update, Hass MS&L, the PR company that is giving away Mr. Clean AutoDry samples for reviews, just notified me that they shipped me a free kit today. So hopefully I'll receive it in a week or 2.

One word for this product, "piece of crap", OK three words.

If you use it the way intended, you're going to scratch your car. It barely squirts some non-sudsing soap out that they want you to then scrub. Even when you put the special soap in a bucket, it's hard to get a good lubricating suds.

Then your supposed to rinse with the regular water setting, followed by the Deionized water.

Well, imagine using a water pistol to rinse your car, it's about the rate that the deionized water flows.

I could have blow-dried the car twice in the amount of time it took with the Mr.Clean No-dry method.

Huh, that's unfortunate... I bought one of those garden sprayers a while back to use as a final rinse, filled with distilled water. It was not an impressive amount of spray, and it never really worked because it didn't seem to displace all the hose water from the car. I would still get spots from water dripping out of seams, and light spotting from areas where water dried on the car before I got to it. It wasn't really worth the effort.

I initially thought that Mr. Clean thing filtered all the water, not just a final rinse. Oh well. I'll keep looking for a larger, yet reasonably priced, filter for the hose.

Also got the free one from Hass MS&L, the PR company. Of course the weather is going downhill here for the next few days....

Oh.well maybe this weekend I can try it out and give some feedback.

I called their tech people, just to see if I had a defective unit. They said the deionizer is supposed to spray a mist. Nice for plants, but it doesn't displace the water already on the car, unless you have a spare hour to kill misting.

They are cheerfully refunding my money, and I"m getting a true deionizer that I can fill a bucket with and rinse with a hose.

heres an idea, why not just do a rinse with just the hose, then hook that thing up and mist the car? Just reminds me of a automatic no touch car wash where they use a mist of supposive deionized water to get a lot of the water off after a final rinse.

Because it doesn't work that well. This is basically what I did but with distilled water. It never really worked out for me. I certainly couldn't just let the car air dry.

oops, forgot to mention that they air dry after that deionzied mist. So, maybe a leaf blower to the car, and then grab a ww mf for the spots that you might have missed!!!!!

It does have a pretty good rinse setting, but the "Mist" doesn't really have much going for it, an I have pretty good water pressure.

I'll just be content trying out the 1z Perls and the new NXT wash in the spring :)

The 1Z Perls shampoo is awesome. Maybe it's just psychological, but it really does seem to 'sheet' water a little better than the other shampoos. If only it were available locally!!

As for this Mr. Clean Auto Dry wash stuff and the attention it's been getting........   Kinda explains all the other stuff that's been going on here.....
