Moving

Dave, my Friend,
You and yours are among some of the best people around, and we all pray that you guys will get through this just fine...

It may be that way at this moment, but I/we promise you, that tomorrow is Always a start to a new, beautiful, day..

If we didnt have these normal hiccups occasionally, we would never be able to steer the right course, and become much stronger and wiser as a result of the challenges..

You and your family will Always be in our daily and nightly prayers, my friend, please dont ever forget that..

Now, go do the work that is needed to get a new start !!

Wife...sometimes they can leave you with only your BVDs. I know. I'm still paying mine. Thankfully, a second time was the charm. At bad times pray..... at good times also we should pray and be thankful!!! He is watching from above, so make every day count. We are to believe "He will Provide". Twenty years ago when I started over after my first wife wiped me out, it was just me and my "Makita" today, blessed be God, I polished myself out of a dark space. One I never want to ever experience again.

Amen

Glad you got some stuff moved. Half over buddy. Keep the faith and stay in prayer. We are praying for you. It will get better. Maybe this is what you need

Got some stuff moved sunday. Going be crazy busy this weekend. Before they get here monday. Last min. glitches attending to. Had to call movers and add another guy to unload our attic. Address change. Direct tv move. Verizon can transfer our home phone, but DSL internet is not avaliable in the new hood. STUPID. So got to figure that out. They said 4GLT might be avaliable.

Yes ! if you can get Verizon FIOS (Fiber), you will ROCK on anything you need to do TV or Internet..
Good luck !

Ran a few thing down this morning. Even tho detailing season is about over, the 50' craftsman hose is going to be way to short from where the water is to the driveway. Looks like i will need a 75' or 100'. This was the perfect set up here, but got to make it work at the new place.

Well last weekend before the movers get here MONDAY. Other place is ready. This is really going to be a busy weekend to say the least. I have off all next week. Crunch time. On moving....

1. Dont do it if you can
2. Very expensive
3. Very physical and emotional taxing.

Got more done yesterday. Today is it before the movers are here 8am Monday. So today the computer/tv/beds etc have to be boxed/broke down. Going to be a boring night here. LOL. I really did not want to buy another hose, but picked up a never kink 100' at lowes yesterday. Hope the quality is ok. About $50. Hope to do a wash wednesday at the new digs? So much to do yet, but we are in the final stages.....

Might be better for a plummer in the future to bring a water line down closer to the garage? Dont know what the cost would be and we would need the ok to do it.

Here is the new set up. The second garage is on the side. The water hook up is way up past that on the side of the house.

Anyway, sadly detailing is about done here in PA.

And a final good bye to our great neighbors we had today....

Hope everything is looking better! I thought i was done moving once i got out of the army....i think ive moved more since then lol. most of my moves have been around 2200miles one way, about to be on move number 5 for that trip here shortly

Moves always suck. Reminds me of us packing up all our stuff in Mississippi and moving back to Pennsylvania. Took 17 hours with me driving the truck and car trailer and the other driving the Equinox with the 4 cats. That's a trip I will never do again. It all gets better though! Hopefully this spring we'll move out of this rental and set down roots. Keep your chin up!

BTW PA, a nice detail on the VW and a case of beer and I'll have that water line in for ya! ;)

So I recently moved 1500 miles. None of the interstate moving companies would agree to move my detailing chemicals. I inquired of UPS and FedEx but they also wouldn't ship any previously opened chemical containers unless they packed them in special leak-proof containers that cost several times more than the original chemicals. I wound up packing and moving what I could squeeze in my SUV but I gave away a ton of chemicals. My wife wanted me to finally retire anyway so now, while I have enough product to keep my personal vehicles pristine for a few years, there likely will be very few major detailing jobs for this old man. Definitely suffering from Post-Detailing Stress Disorder. :o

The same issue arose with my wine collection. I had to pack and move what I could fit in my SUV as well. I gave away cases of wine as I just couldn't fit it in. At least the chemicals and better wine I did move was kept cool in my SUV. The temps in a moving truck this time of year likely reach over 100 degrees and would have ruined the wine and likely altered some of the chemicals.

So finally I'm retired... I sure am missing all my stuff but I have a lot of spare time on my hands now. Detailing is a sickness and withdrawal is hard.

Where in FL, I might be able to help out.....

Cape Coral. Thanks for the offer. To appease my detailing withdrawal pains, I just built a nice addition in my lanai. My other weaknesses are grilling and watching sports on TV. Gotta stay busy.
