Motorcycle detailing!

Ok guyz so my dad has been into harleys for quiet sometime and just invested in a new Harley Heritage Classic, with every option, exhaust, chrome, chrome and more chrome. I have been detailing his bike for a little while now and have been detailing his friends Harleys as well. I currently use a leaf blower to dry the bikes off. It's actually how they do it at the Harley dealerships, anyone have any suggestions on how else to dry these things down?!?!?!?

I usually get on mine and drive about 85mph for a while. That usually gets it good an dry.

You have to take off the windshield for the best results.

Only problem is I usually forget what I was doing and end up riding around all day.

I use my shop vac, just reverse the hose and use it as a blower. I haven't found a better way. You can hit some areas with a micro fibre towel (tank, fenders) but a blower is best for the rest. Towels will take forever. For cleaning I use S100 cycle cleaner for grease areas and Plexus for clear plastic. You can buy the S100 in a big jug and it is worth it.

The guys I know with cruisers use the leaf blowers. I have a sportbike so I can dry it like a car for the most part. But there are areas that you just need to blow dry.

I use spray and wipe on my bike, unless it's absolutely filthy (rarely). It's just too much work to get all the water out from all the little cracks and crevices.

Get some S100 Total Cycle Cleaner. It is safe for every surface on the bike and cleans like nothing else. Blow out all the excess water and towel dry. It will safe you a lot of Q-tip time.

I had no problem doing washes with S+W. It really kept the mess down.

Also, polishing everything with a light polish (PwC) is the way to go :)
