Mothers VLR, any experiences or Tips?

I just picked up some Mothers VLR (vinyl, leather, rubber) cleaner-protectant as a follow up product to Meguiar's Gold Class Aloe Leather/Vinyl Cleaner to remove any residue left from cleaning some leather seats and add a bit of protection ... I gave up on getting 303 AP on time for Saturday.

Has anyone used the VLR before and what can you tell me about it? I have never used this or any other Mother's product-besides the California Gold Carnauba Paste wax w/o cleaners.

I use it and did a review of it. I actually use it mostly on coated seats and steering wheels as a one step product.

Thanks Al, good article. On an interior that's a bit (a lot) dirtier than the one in your review, would you recommend a separate cleaning step before the VLR? Like I mentioned in a few (few ... HA!) recent posts, I have two leather jobs this weekend and as I believe is wise, I'm planning for the worst-heavily soiled & stained leather and I got the VLR to 1) Wipe up any residue from the Megs that didn't get wiped off by the MF cloth and 2) Apply some protection to the leather.

Do you think this is a decent plan of action?
