Mothers step 2 - Seal & Glaze

Hey all!



I'm trying to figure out what the purpose of this stuff is. I have a bottle of it i must have bought years ago, and can't figure out where it would fit in my detailing regimen. Right now i am using step 1 (if required) then NXT topped with Mothers Carnauba.



Could someone shine some light on what this stuff is and how it should be used ?

That product is a glaze and filled with oils and fillers. It's used before your last step product. It provides a deep wet look and helps to hide imperfections in the paint.

No. NXT is a protectant with some cleaning ability and some ability to fill imperfections. Mothers Sealer and Glaze has little if any cleaning and protection ability. NXT is a LSP.

Sounds like it wouldn't do me much good. At least with the NXT i am getting some protection.

Stevet is correct. It is a glaze and glazes are meant to restore gloss to make the paint look wet. It can also hide certain imperfections.

It won't do you good if you use it by itself, but if you use it right before nxt, you might see a difference in appearance. You could try the glaze+nxt on the front third of your car (hood, fenders) to see how you like it.
