mothers pure carnuaba wax?

i just did half my hood in nxt wax and the other in mothers stage 3 pure carnuaba wax liquid, the mothers feels much slicker :chuckle: and i may consider using this as my lsp

my question is ,can anyone comment on the durability of mothers carnuaba wax?? ive been using p21s and nxt and they dont hold up so good

:nana:

If you wax monthly, it shouldn't be a problem. I wouldn't expect it to last a full winter, for example.

Mothers Pure Carnauba is a very nice product. In my experience, durability was a little better than NXT or P21S.

This product can be either applied to the entire car and then buffed out, or you can apply the same way you apply P21S (WOWO).

I also really like Mothers Sealer & Glaze, which can be used right before the carnauba wax. It does an excellent job of filling in minor imperfections, and unlike glazes made by Meguiars and 3M, this stuff is very easy to use. I don't know what color your car is, but if it's a darker color, I think you'll really like these two products.

it is a dark color...almost black

infact id love to hide a few more minor blemishes left over from washing etc...its a old car and im relucatant to polish it with anything too abrasive

Just for kicks I applied Mothers Pure Carnauba on the left-side of my Camry this morning. Here's a picture of it tonight (sorry for the picture quality):

It darkened the paint and gave it a nice wet look.

I have, and its very effective and very easy to use. I know some use it exclusevely on their 'garage queen' without applying a wax. They just S&G every week or two.

intermezzo mentioned that their sealer glaze has great swirl filling abilitys...anyone else use that?

Yes...a nice, effective product for hiding swirls and bringing out a little more wetness, but I found it difficult to remove.

Yes, it can be a bit hard to remove when applied too thick. The trick, as with many of these ultimate and penultimate products, is to apply sparingly.

If you want to see really difficult, try Megs #7. Looks amazing, but difficult to work with unless you have the technique down-pat.

I haven't done a side-by-side, so I'm not sure. S&G can be layered so it can build up its swirl hiding ability.
