Mothers professional line APC

PA DETAILER

DETAILED TODAY?
Finished up my gallon of Megs super degreaser. And to be truthfull, I never really liked it. I thought the cleaning ability was poor at best. At least on tires. My main use for a APC is just that, tires. And maybe my engine if i am short on Mckees engine degreaser. Got out my new gallon of mothers this morning. Along with the matching spray bottle. Got it all at AG, but I see they no longer carry it? AT never did. Mixed it 1:3 per directions for tires. I can say it did a wounderfull job of cleaning them. Very pleased with this APC. It can be diluted for different tasks.

Why not just get a dedicated wheel cleaner instead? I got Meg`s non acid wheel cleaner on the way so I haven`t tested it yet. I thought I could get away with just APC but I think you need a product designed specifically for wheels and tires.

I have been eyeing the Mother`s pro line stuff. Mainly just to try something different out. I am not really a fan of Meg`s super degreaser either. I find that there are some better APC`s that aren`t as harsh.

You are going to love D143. It is my go to wheel and tire cleaner. It works great on both and for the price it is extremely hard to beat.

Have used it and it`s also a good product.

IME, it just depends on how bad they are. If they have never been cleaned then APCs aren`t going to do a very good job and a dedicated cleaner will be needed. If they`re not that bad/regularly cleaned then you can normally get away with an APC. I`m sure a coating plays into that also but can`t speak to the wheel coatings. I can tell you that if your tires are coated all you need is shampoo.

Again, all in my experience so your results may vary.

The original thing I wanted to post...

Have you tried it on anything other than tires? I actually eyed the Mothers at one point due to it`s price point but found more reviews on the Meg`s products.

I just use Meg`s Degreaser on engines and it seems to work fine. I use Meg`s APC on tires. Still using the old APC plus. Gonna cry when I`m finished.

Optima Power Clean diluted 3:1 with water is my go to wheel cleaner now :) Followed with once a month WG Uber Wheel Cleaner. OPC works like a charm!!
