Mother's PowerPolish

What should be the consistency of Mother's PowerPolish? The bottle I have is thinner than any polish or sealant I've seen, even thinner than Klasse SG.

I've read about bad runs of MPP, but the bottle I have is much later than the this. Shaking the contents has had no effect.

I shook it many times for at least a total of 10 minutes without a change in viscosity. The viscosity is about the same as low fat milk.

I believe the folks at Mothers' said there was a bad batch of the Power Polish with that problem. I would contact them for more info. I'm sure they will take care of you.

I just bough some (10 minuts ago)at pepboys - mine is as ram's - low fat milk- I have been shacking it for 20 minuts now. :)

Does anyone have a number so I can check?

I never use it before - it smells kinda fancky

there was some info and batch #'s on the mothers forum...it told you if your batch number was the one listed on the thread..it was from the bad batch....

go to the mothers forum and get the info

What I've found on the Mother's forum is that only batch numbers 2A5017 and 2A5018 are bad, my bottle is 2A5038. Pepboy's had some bottles of 2A5038 and 2A5035. All of them sound thin when shook. I'm going to return my bottle and wait for Mother's to fix the QC problem.

thanks for the link

My bach nymber is 2A5035 I got it at local pepboys, is it suppose to be gray? How about the smell.

I really want to use it but I would preffer to know if it is good.

photos just taken

the polish it self is gray....yours does look a little thinner than the stuff I have...but not by much...I know it needs a good shaking before use...

I shake it good for a minute or two at first..then shake it each time I put on a pad...I do this to every thing I use....it is just a habit i guess....

Like VM..poorboys pro polish..OCW..they all seperate..so I have a habit of shaking everything before using it on the pad..or what ever I am applying it with..

I even shake milk before I pour it..I like the foam...lol.....

hehe

I don't think any more shaking will help - I have been doing it for about 10-15 minuts before I took that photo. I have sonus das pads, some scraches not deap not many on the black car, wander which pads should I use I think orange os way over kill so green or blue - too soft ?

:dance

I have used it with the orange pad ..and results were good....I believe the orange pad is suppose to be kinda a versatil type pad...meaning it can be a cutting pad..or a polish pad..depending on the product used with it...

I have also used the Edge green pad and had good results...try each one and see which one works for you..green ..orange...

do not put alot of downward pressure on the PC...let the machine do the work...

I read that MPP cutting power depends on the pad one uses. Car I am planing to work on is in good shape so I will start with green pad first and see how that works. Just don't know if I should go with MPP one I just bought or to try find one which is little ticker. hm It is very milk like (its gonna be all over the gatage :D ), do you spray pad with detailing spray before

T

I went down and checked my MPP....and put it on my fingers like you did...mine is thicker..I could not see the flesh color as in your picture...you may want to return it ..up to you...

I spray distilled water some times...or just make an X on the pad and spread prodct a little with PC off to cover pad....

Thanks AL

I may just retur it, I hope they won't give me a problem since I opened it. When I look at the texture it seams like some parts in it just don't want to mix.

I will have to try to get it somewhere alse, before the weekend comes. Wander if auto-zone or walmart have it.

thanks again.
