Mother's Leather Conditioner

I tried this product on my seats and it gives the leather a very shiny and cheap plastic apperance. Its also difficult to buff off and makes the leather sticky to touch. In terms of lubricating and re-vitalizing the leather, it improved the texture only slightly and all in all, I wouldn't buy this stuff again. :nono I suppose I'll finish the bottle on shoes or something.

Something doesn't sound right - how was the product applied/removed and with what? What type/year of vehicle?
