I have an Alpine Silver GS 400 w/chrome stock rims. I let my homeboy use my car to go see a chick the other night and when he returned he had the mother of all curb scrapes on the passenger side front bumper and rim (actually the rim is severly chipped) there is no touch up paint in the world to help this it was actually down to the black plastic under the paint. So he is my life long friend I didn't kill him and put him in the trunk (mainly because bloodstains are so darn hard to get out
) so he buys a new rim and tire and gives me some money to get the bumper fixed so I go to the dealership and get the bumper repainted but it has no clear coat the color is the same but no clearcoat so I have a few questions:
Will this effect my detailing efforts as far as polishing and waxing are concerned?
Should I take it back and insist a clear coat?
Do I have to wait the 30 day min after the work to pamper my baby? (they said no wash or wax on the painted area)
Should I reconsider the old body in the trunk agression release method?
