I'm borded haven't detailind since my surgery.

So I was sitting around in the shop going thru some old pics , and found a picture of the most exotic car I've ever detailed a 1989 Porsche 959 that thing was so cool. Belive it or not that was in my first year of detailing too.:shocked

So what have you guys detailed , exotic and expensive

So far, my best "catch" has been a late model Viper race car. The vehicle is decked out in race trim (painted numbers, not decals, even), and runs at the local road course and in club races around the midwest.

It's not that exotic, nor particularly expensive, but it's in a different price class that most of the cars I've done, that's for sure.

Tort

that certainly ranks at the top , I've done a few vipers but no race preped ones that's cool.

by your avatar I assume you own a WRX? I'm seriously considering the WRX STi for my next toy.:D

I must be going blind or something I didn't even see that. :o

I know what the pronblem is I'm going thru with draw from not detailing , but I get a fix on friday I am detailing a Taurus. :D

below are a few of the exotics i get to work on. the most expensive is the 1962 Ferrari "Breadvan" - it's the only one in the world as far as i know and was purchased for approx. $5.5million. i do a 550 Maranello pretty regularly(it's yellow not the red one pictured. a red 360(not the yellow one in the pic) about every 2 weeks and the silver BB512i every week. i take care of the Ferrari Club of New Orleans and detail at their annual Concours d'Elegance.

:D

5.5 million beats my 1 million the 959 was suppose to be worth. :shocked I have no idea what the Porsche was actually worth since they where never really imported to the states.;)

<drool><slobber>STi</slobber></drool>.

300 hp, 300 lb-ft of torque, 6-speed, variable valve timing, 17" wheels, Brembo brakes . . . and the Beauty of All-Wheel Drive.

What's not to like? :D

I have a couple more years before my WRX is paid off; the STi is definitely on the list for my next car . . .

Tort

add to that list three limted slip diffs , intercooled with manual water sprayer and it's only $35,000 that whole lot of car for the money , let the fun begin.

So have you taken your WRX on any dirt , I took a friends out on a nice flat dirt road and had it in full power slides at 70mph around some corners. The only thing I can say is :D :scared .

No, no dirt roads, but the filthy streets of Omaha after all the salt and sand has been laid down for winter are damn close. The car is all kinds of fun to drive in low traction situations . . .

SCCA's ProRally series' slogan is something like "Real cars! Real Roads! Really Fast!" :D

Tort

Look at the shine on the RV and Trailer I guess he did, what a massive job I hope he had some help on that and used a quick wax.

That is not an RV! It is a full sized tour bus. All 44 feet of it!

The guy has a pressure washer and water deionizer at his office and that is what I use to wash it. Dries spot free, so that saves time. I can wash it, clean the engine, clean the windows and dress the tires in about 3 hours. It takes another 3 or so to wax it. Not really that hard because of the flat surfaces, but it's like a stairmaster workout going up and down the ladder.

I have done Bentleys, Lambo's, Ferrari's. I have been doing a lot of classics though.

Bellairs, 442, mustangs, corvettes.

They are not my every day customers though. They get done about one a month at the persons home, Waste of money for some of them as they never use them.
