If you're willing to discuss this, I'm just curious how much some of you have earned from a single detail. I know a lot of variables are to be considered, but lets just discuss in general.

Me personally, I've never really had the desire to spend multiple days on a single detail since this isn't a sole source of income.

I do know my friend brought in over $1K for a full detail including wetsand, headlight repair, and some road rash repair. It was a Lamborghini, came out brilliant. If i can find pictures, I'll definitely post them.

Addictedtobling hit it right on the spot. I love seeing my customers in wow when the detail is finished!!! That is more than money can ever buy :). On another note, I did a Jaguar xj6. It was black, and had looked like it had been washed with a brillo pad and saw the swirl o matic about 1000 times. It was a 22 hour job. He was so happy with the finished product, it made my day for weeks :). I don't want to get into any figures but he took care of me very well.
 
I wouldn't be so sure how many people would be willing to openly discuss their financial gain to the public. Curiosity isn't against the rules, but that would probably explain the lack of feedback. Probably a better question discussed in a PM.

With that being said; in all the private details i've ever done, they have all been about average or slightly above average as far as payoff goes.
